StomperMobile and TrafficUltimatum Sales Letter

I just went through the thread on are Sales Letters dead.. My opinion is no not at all but that's not to say video can't improve conversions in certain markets.

Now I see a lot of people fighting over video vs text but lately I've seen quite a few sites combine the two quite nicely.

Stompermobile.com for example did what I believe to be one of the best video/optin/sales letter I've ever seen. Now of course this won't work in every market but in some it might be quite effective.

See what they did is gave you the video presentation right in the top fold so its the first thing you see. Then you also have the opportunity to get their prelaunch webinar by opting in...

And guess what they'll be doing in that webinar?? Selling.. Or if you choose to just scroll right down and read the sales letter you have that option as well.

They pretty much cover every angle with that sales letter and I really wish I knew their conversion rates. Anyone knows it please share!

Another example is Traffic Ultimatum. George basically gives you the video sales letter with the order button below it or you can just scroll right down and read the sales letter.

So what do you guys think about this sorta sales letter? Anyone effectively combining video and text?

I have a few products in the dating niche and I've been thinking about testing some of this out.

        Hey Ivan,

        I'll comment for ya

Yes! A video mixed in with a traditional sales letter works extremely well right now. In fact, it's my preferred combination.

As one copywriter said to me recently, a sales letter without video "looks like it has teeth missing." This is especially true in the IM arena.

Of course that's not to say text only letters have stopped working (I'll wager the trend will reverse before long. As video clogs up almost every page online, a simple plain text letter will become even more powerful.)

Nor am I implying a video-only sales page won't bring in sales either. We're seeing how effective these can be at the moment, but maybe it has a short shelf-life. Already people are rolling their eyes when confronted with one of these "zero controls" presentations.

The best answer is to test. From my own experience, a few months ago I helped launch a Forex product with a video/text sales page and it brought in 7 figures.

So in my eyes, a video/text combo works pretty well.
