Makepeace's course is half price (last day today) if you've debated spending the normal $1,500

Hello,

On Clayton's list and just wanted to throw this out there for anybody that has wanted to pick up Clayton Makepeace's Quick Start Copywriting System, but the price tag was too large. Instead of $1,500 - it's currently $797.

Thought I'd post to let folks know, just in case someone might be interested.

Details:
Quick Start | The Total Package

Regards,

Mike

I'd advise anyone who's not got this to jump on it immediately. In my not so humble opinion this is by far and away the best copywriting course available.

I have to agree with Andrew.

I'm only about 1/3 of the way through it and I'm already blown away with the detail and depth it goes into. And I'm saying that after I've already studied pretty much every other book and course already on the market.

If you're dead serious about being a professional copywriter, you'll want to get it, study it, and do the practice exercises to hone your chops.

If you're on the fence about writing copy professionally or just want to get the basics down so you can write for your own business only, then it's overkill and more information than you'll probably want to handle.

      Take care,

      Mike

How is it different to his power marketing summit package?

          Good question.

IMHO, Power marketing summit is an older product that is aimed more at intermediate to advanced copywriters. It assumes a certain level of copywriting knowledge up front. Most of the Makepeace catalog is included as bonuses. I'd give the main video course a B with the added bonuses lifting the total grade to an A-.

Quick Start Copywriting System is brand new and focuses on teaching you copywriting from the ground up. Each chapter is on a specific aspect of writing copy (i.e. headlines, nailing the offer, how to open a salesletter, etc.). Each chapter has revelant samples taken from control pieces (with credit being given to the copywriter who wrote it and/or publisher).

The bonuses are a combination of never offered before content (i.e. Clayton's 50+ page Power Words list) and things previously offered in Clayton's EasyWriter Club newsletter (no longer available). I'd give the main course an A with the added bonuses lifting the total grade to an A+.

Again, Clayton's course is great but serious information overload for the unprepared or easily intimidated.

          Hope that helps,

          Mike

Thanks for posting this thread, Mike. I should have started it, but I'm ashamed to admit I was so busy it didn't even cross my mind. In the future, I'll be sure to notify my fellow Warriors when we run a TTP store sale.

In the meantime, I'll see if I can arrange for a "Warrior special" -- either on QSCS or one of the other products, like MBS or OPM.

I realize the sheer size of the Quick-Start course can be intimidating. However, we've worked hard to make sure it's organized so as NOT to overload even the newest copywriter. So the Table of Contents also acts as your course syllabus ... each chapter includes an Action Steps worksheet ... you get a comprehensive glossary of direct response terms (complete with examples), etc.

But if there's anything we can do to make it less intimidating, please let us know and we'll try to work it in during the next revision.

Len, my comments weren't meant as a knock at all.

Personally, it didn't faze me at all.

Personally, I was in info-junkie heaven.

Personally, I'm a big fan of Clayton's... besides winning a contest of his in Dec. 2008 that awarded me his Power Summit program, I pretty much own the rest of his entire catalog of products.

Yes, it's broken up nicely into Chapters and has a well-designed Table of Contents. Yes, it's comprehensive... to try to cover a topic as deep as copywriting in 100 pages would not do it justice. Clayton has a well-earned reputation (and it's one of the things I like about him) for going in depth on any topic he discusses. Same for Anthony Flores, especially with his contributions to some of Clayton's products.

But for some people seeing 1200+ pages in two binders, along with a large pile of CDs/DVDs, reports, bonuses, etc. arrive on their doorstep could put them in overwhelm... unless they got a friendly heads-up beforehand.

              That was my intent.

              Take care,

              Mike

No problem, Mike -- I didn't mean to imply you were knocking the course. Between your Quick-Start bundle and Summit bundle, you must have at least as many Makepeace products as I do. lol =^)

      @Len
I missed this offer. A WSO would definitely be a wlecome opportunity to get in on this.

      Thanks.

I'll see what I can do. In the meantime, the scuttle is they're getting ready to run another sale (on a different product) next week. I'll try to find out the details and give the Warrior Forum a heads-up tomorow...
