Brilliant. That would have appealed to David Droga - one of the targets and an Aussie Adman.

"There's always been a certain arrogance in this industry. Bombard them into submission and they'll remember us, you know what I mean? People tolerate advertising to get to the content. Well, I don't see why advertising can't become the destination and the content."Right. Sounds sensible. Advertisers take a leap of faith that their message will make it out of the pages of a magazine or off the television or computer screen and into the minds of people with money, who will then act on that impulse and buy their stuff.
Droga thinks he can remove the middleman, creating events or happenings or maybe even structures that convey his clients' messages and DNA all on their own. Here's one little example: Earlier this year, a video appeared online that showed a shadowy figure breaking into Andrews Air Force Base and spray-painting the words still free onto the side of Air Force One. It looked real, it sounded real, it was cool as hell, and it became a huge Internet hit, spreading like a virus to dozens of video-hosting sites.
And it was one of Droga's ads, in this case for graffiti artist and entrepreneur Mark Ecko's video game Getting Up. (Naturally, the whole thing was a fake. Security at Andrews is better than that.)Still Free

Shows how he is thinking about getting attention and what
a copywriter needs to think about so he had something
going for him even before he got the interview.

Not a bad way to make a marriage proposal either.
Take an ad for your potential spouse's name.

    Good one.

A good combo of extremely targeted
advertising and appealing to the emotional
    desire of being recognized.

    This gave me some inspiration.

    Thanks for this.

OMG That's pure brilliance. I (obviously) didn't even think of it, but now that it's happened, it makes me surprised that it hasn't happened before.

Very inspirational. I hope I can use this somehow at some point, because it's THAT good.

Good for him. He definitely deserves everything he was offered as a result of this!
