Hi Warriors,

I made my first post on what I think copywriting is. What do you think?
MoreMoneyToSpend Blog Presents What Is Copywriting And Why You Should Learn Copywriting

Here's the entry:

Copywriting is the art of sales through a written form or through other
media of advertising and marketing. Why should one learn how to
copywrite? Ultimately, it's always to achieve some sort of sale.

Have you ever been approached by or spoken to a professional
salesperson before? Have you ever realized that at the end of their
presentation, you sometimes have got no questions to ask them? They
say "Have you got any questions?" and you rack your brain but to no
avail, nothing pops up. What happens in the end is you find yourself taking
out your wallet, your credit card and signing on the dotted line.

Why did you do that? Maybe it's because the salesperson is very
good-looking (hey, it's natural talent!) but more often than not, average
looking salespeople actually do better than the really good looking ones
(there's hope for the rest of us!) simply because the salesperson has an
excellent sales pitch or he was able to tackle all objections with ease.

That's the same thing with copywriting - except you are making a sales
pitch using the written form.

"But what if I'm not a salesperson?" or "I've never sold anything in my life
before to anyone!" No worries. The main reason people don't do sales is
because there's objection handling involved. Copywriting places all your
sales pitching onto the medium that it's on - paper, internet, radio, video,
et cetera, all the rejection will be handled by the medium. You just need
to concentrate on the people who said "Yes" to you and how you can
have more people say "Yes" to you through improved copywriting. No
rejection handling required at all.

How about if you already are a salesperson or you've had sales
knowledge, should you learn copywriting? "100% Yes" Because a
salesperson who is good in selling through spoken words may not be that
good at the written word and vice versa. The good news is that
copywriting can be learned and developed. The bad news is that to
improve in copywriting, you have to actually start doing the copywriting.

So if you want to improve sales or have a higher click through rate, you
definitely have to learn how to copywrite. If you don't want to learn how
to copywrite or you think your English has a bigger hole than a donut -
Pay someone to copywrite for you. Usually, the people who get paid to
copywrite are themselves excellent copywriters. They make a living
through copywriting and you can be quite confident that they'll do a good
job for you - after all, it's their livelihood. And copywriting may well
become your livelihood for having a successful home business as well.

I think you can help your readers understand better by explaining copywriting as putting the right message out to move them close to a sale.

If you emphasize the message part, they can see the application across other mediums easily. Rather than just write copy, it's about communicating your sales messages.

    hope this helps.
