Help with copy ideas! (iPhone Websites/Web-spaces)

Hello Warriors,

We're nearly finished creating iPhoneOptimized.com where we will be selling iPhone-optimized web solutions to the mainstream consumer. We put some quick "dull" copy in just to fill the front and thanks to a bit of feedback we've learned how terrible it actually is

I'm looking for help from talented copywriters. Help coming up with an idea, an angle or a process to help communicate the value of our product/service.

The website is "iPhoneOptimized.com" and feel free to constructively criticize

Here are just a few quick points that might help get the juices flowing:

Q: What makes iPhoneOptimized.com different from other iPhone website solutions?
A: The sites are browser based giving the ability to be cross-compatible with other mobile devices. Additionally, our system was built to cater to anyone, even those with NO technical or programming knowledge.

The main difference is that our sites are created from scratch - and you don't need to have a previous website to create one. In fact, we want to open up the eyes of the consumer to the full potential of mobile web-spaces. With our system you can quickly build mobile resumes, local marketing resources, mobile calling cards, mobile event guides and much more.

If all you want is a mobile website, then its as easy as customizing a layout and inserting text. You then simply request the redirect code and place it on your desktop site to redirect mobile visitors.

So that's the skinny - oh and we are smashing the current industry price points pretty hard.

I'm a bit stuck on where to go with this copy and I'm really looking forward to opening up some discussion.

Cheers,
Kris

Well, I'd start out by explaining what it means to have your iPhone optimized and why that would be a good thing... I'm not all that technical and have no idea what you're offering. There might be one or two others out there like me.

Putting music to i phone is something that a lot of iphone owners would be happy to learn. If you are lucky enough to own iphone (3G or an origin one) you probably will be
interested to learn how to copy new music from you PC to iPhone despite DRM rules and other issues.

His service is not on how to tweak the iPhone itself, or tips to do such things (if I'm reading correctly). Rather, the service is meant to create websites that are optimized for mobile platforms, primarily iPhone.

Hey Mike - thanks for clearing that up. It's becoming obvious just how much we need to communicate

To sum it up - our service allows anyone to create iPhone-compatible web-spaces. I say web-spaces because we're trying to smash the perception that you need to have a previous website to engage in mobile - while there are dozens of uses for a web-space.

    Cheers,
    Kris

The whole pitch for iPhone web browsing was viewing regular websites -- not mobile versions. You're going to have a hard time.

I'd get out of the web site business and start developing successful iPhone apps for the app store. That people want.

Actually, mobile standards are completely different and mobile search is evolving very quickly. However, this isn't our main target..

As I've said already - we're allowing anyone to build mobile "web-spaces" which are meant to accommodate the growing demand for mobile resources. With mobile web access expected to exceed desktop web access by 2013, you need to start thinking how big and broad this opportunity is.

I do agree with you however that apps have the limelight right now - but the market will quickly evolve.
