Top copywriters wanted

...for Wordfruit membership: http://Wordfruit.com

I hope the service can be of some benefit to some here:

Wordfruit is a job board for top copywriters and hirers of top copywriters. Access to job details is given only to copywriter-members.

Wordfruit also serves markets for other talented writers: journalists, academic writers, technical writers, ghostwriters, translation and localization professionals, and editors.

We do not charge any fees to copywriters.

The intention of Wordfruit is to be a useful resource for serious clients, and for top copywriters and other writers. The business model is designed around maintaining a high standard for jobs listed on the site.

If you have any questions, please post them up, and I'll nip back to answer them.

If you'd like to apply for membership, there's a link 'Copywriters Apply' at top-right at http://Wordfruit.com

Cheers

    Hi Rezbi,

I just clicked the link myself to check it -- it worked ok.

It could have been the hosting service causing that message, when you clicked; though they have very little downtime (godaddy.com).

I'll ask my web developer if there might be any other issue.

    Thanks for posting about this.

    Cheers, Richard

Sure you're not just getting a cached version?

I've tried three different browsers with no luck.

It's working for me. However, I did notice
that the links in the post are pointing to
a linkedin redirect script which may be the
    issue.

Have you tried the hyperlink in Richards
    signature, Rezbi?

If not, give it a try. Maybe the redirect is
    causing the problem.

    Iconik, thanks for mentioning that.

If that's the issue, then I now know not to copy-paste my LinkedIn posts.

I've edited those 2 links in the first post in this thread.

Hope the link is working for you now Rezbi

I don't know what it is. I just tried on my laptop and getting the same thing there.

It did work before, from your other post.

I just tried on another computer too - the links worked ok. And I checked for remnants of the LinkedIn redirect -- that's all gone.

Hmm...I don't know... anyone else seeing "This web page is not available"? Or any other error messages?

It couldn't be a Firewall or something like that, Rezbi?

No top copywriter is going to join that site because they dont need the work. If they do they obviously dont know enough about marketing and copy to keep themselves booked solid.

      What rubbish.

      Even copywriters have agents.

Well, they might as well just shut it down then, ya think?

The very top copywriters may just watch as the work pours in - but I've noticed a lot of copywriters here who claim to be very good but also complain of being broke frequently.

It took eight months of hard work before I reached the point in ghostwriting where my time is filled by those coming directly to me with no marketing effort - I would think it takes much longer to reach that level when you are a copywriter.

I like the idea of a site that recruits quality writers - not just anyone who wants to make a few bucks by trying their hand at ghostwriting or copywriting.

I had no problem acessing the site through the link.

WHAT I was saying is that if your marketing and sales process is working on your website or your existing marketing then you have to much work to do already!

Not saying pro copywriters dont look for work, im saying their so good at marketing and advertising they have more than they can handle from their existing sales funnels already.

What if they view it as another part of their marketing plan... A part that is run and maintained by someone else?

If they're still getting paid their desired fee, then it's a win-win situation for all parties involved.

Dude, "too much work" ..."they're" and "you're" - not "to" "their" and "your". :p The Spelling Nazi.

In the words of gary halbert, the way you know your a good copywriter is if you can write an ad about yourself that keeps you booked solid.

He once wrote an ad for Jay Abhram offering copywriting services and it got Jay 712 people begging to give him large sums of cash. One day, in one newspaper. Thats good copy.

So the fact Gary Halbert wrote the advert for Jay Abraham's copywriting services doesn't prove you don't have to write your own ad?

On the issues accessing the site:

My web developer has enabled error logs so that we can check those if
    any more problems crop up.

He mentions that it could be the ISP, and also, to quote his latest email, as it's better in his words than mine:

"I had a look at what was posted on the forum, and one thing that struck
me is the fact that the people who were having trouble are from
Lincolnshire and Lancashire. Situations where some people can access the
site and others are getting a "not found" error often are caused by
problems with those people's DNS servers. Seeing as the people who are
having trouble are both in the same general region, there's a good
chance that they're ISPs are using the same DNS server and that DNS
server is having trouble at the moment.

If this is the case, it should clear itself up within the next hour or
    so at the most.

Incidentally, I have this trouble sometimes as well, and there are times
when I can't even access Google. Obviously this isn't because Google's
down, but just because my DNS server isn't able to find their address
    for whatever reason.

So I think that in this case we don't have much to worry about. The site
and server themselves seem to be doing alright, and if there is a
routing error due to a faulty DNS server somewhere, there's not much we
can do about it. The best thing would probably be to recommend that the
users who are having trouble try again a bit later."

    ...end of quote.

Hopefully all will be well a little later. Sorry for any probs in the meantime. And thanks for posting on the issue. It enables me to ensure I get on to things at the earliest possible time. I very much appreciate it.

    Cheers, Richard

On whether top copywriters want to sign up to Wordfruit:

Some of the highest-achieving copywriters in the world are signed up.

    Some of them are not.

Don't take my word for it. I'll add a copywriter-profiles section to Wordfruit.

You don't have to be the absolute best in the world to sign up. If you are a proficient copywriter with great work samples, your application will be approved.

    Cheers, Richard
