Powerpoint videos for marketing will fade away, to be replaced by "the
next big thing", which we don't yet know ... and it made me think...
As copywriters, let's SET the trend ... let's actually get AHEAD of the
curve! Let's either MAKE the next best thing, or at the very least least be
prepared for it, so we can take full advantage when it hits.
So then, I ask the question...
As copywriters, what "technology" would you like to see easily available in
the online sales process, that will aid your clients to make sales?
For example, we know "video" has gone from strength to strength, from
its simpler days, to where we are now ... timed order buttons, interactive
What about "static" sales letters? I've created a few technologies myself in
the past ... from "behind the scenes" tools such as a split testing script, to
more visible ones like being able to create personalized deadlines per
I always felt that "static" sales letters sometimes lacked a certain amount
of interactivity ... and that if we could get our readers ACTIVELY involved
in our "pitch", we could increase the chance of a sale.
But there were two problems...
(a) how to get readers interacting in the first place.
(b) for copywriters, they might feel such technology aspects might be
beyond their "remit". Understandably, a copywriter might not want to
write different "segments" of copy, to cater for this interactivity.
Anyway, my question(s) still stands...
WHAT will be "the next best thing" in marketing, that we copywriters can
take advantage of to help our clients increase sales?
WHAT technology would we LIKE to see available? (We're a pretty smart
bunch, collectively... so I'm sure we could MAKE it happen, or at least get
ahead of the curve, ready for when it happens).
