Hi all,

I have a site that ranks very well in Google for several phrases and gets a respectable amount of traffic. I also promote several clickbank products in it. The problem is that it converts *very* poorly, probably because I'm far from the greatest copywriter.

There are 3-5 articles that get the most traffic, I'm believe they just require tweaking to make them convert much better.

Forgive me if this is a newbie question, but do you think I can outsource this here? If so, what should I expect in terms of price?

Thanks,
SnowCone

Certainly you can outsource it. In terms of the quality of the
work... well, you'll get what you pay for, approximately.

That is to say, if you want competent writing that converts
your traffic into sales, you'll hire somebody who "gets it"
    to write your website.

Thanks Loren for the response. I'm good at getting traffic, but apparently conversions aren't my strength...

      Snowcone...

the problem is your writing is geared to get free traffic. It's not geared to selling.

      And here's the rub...

There's no hybrid. SEO writing does not mix with sales writing. So... you have to decide what's more important to you... free traffic or sales?

Reading your post, I don't exactly understand your problem. You say:

The problem is that it converts *very* poorly, probably because I'm far from the greatest copywriter.

What do you mean by "it?" The articles? In marketing all writing tends to lean toward sales. And that goes for articles. There's a simple little formula. Write an informative article and leave the reader wanting more. You might have a header for the last paragraph read: The three most common solutions for head lice are:

Then you go into those solutions. Then in your sig you have a statement like: There are actually five more very powerful solutions to getting rid of lice. Click here to learn more.

Then they arrive at an informative sales-oriented landing page. I like to make write these pages using stories. In this example you might write about a kid who had head lice. He had a hard time getting rid of them. Other kids ridiculed him. He lost his girlfriend. His dog stopped wagging his tail, etc. And then finally, when he was near suicide...

That's the problem. Remember, virtually all products solve problems. The link at the end of the landing page is the CB product. This approach certainly isn't new. Good luck.
