I want to be able to write like you.
I have read content here that inspires me. Content that is so compelling I must continue to read for fear of missing out on something wonderful.
I recall how my eyes jumped from word to word as a feeling of anticipation began to grow inside of me and I wondered "can I write content like that?"
I have spent many years studying communication. I have a great understanding of persuasive language but I have problems translating it into writing.
For example a friend of mine has asked me to build a squeeze page for his chiropractic office....The page is to give away a free exam.
I have written and rewritten content for days now and I am never satisfied with the result.
How do you capture emotion in a single string of words on a screen? Like you do so effortlessly with headlines.
How do you create content that outlines benefits and elicit desire to know more. Without sounding overly "pitchy"
It is my understanding that squeeze pages are to be short and sweet. So I am trying to capture attention and build desire quickly. Not like in a conversation where you can build it over time.
Live communication is much easier because I receive feedback from the other person and I can alter my approach according to the messages they are sending me.
But in writing I have to appeal to all types quickly and with no flexibility in my approach.
You guys and gals are masters.
Whats your best advice for powerful squeeze page content. (and other content where you have to make a big impact with only a few sentences like ppc ads)
Thanks for taking the time to read this post. This forum has some of the most giving people on the web and I am always thankful for the responses.
