Ok im coming to the end of my brand new product, which is a complete blueprint from start to finish on how to start an online business from scratch selling your own products covering every angle of IM.

I'm now trying to make sure i get the name right i feel the name is an important part as this is my biggest to date i want to get it right so our first thoughts where:

Internet Marketing Ultimatum

Internet Marketing infinite

Internet Marketing supreme

But was wondering what some fellow warriors thought would be a suitable name, research is important so was looking for your views.

Thanks

  • I dunno, something with 1998 in it I suppose.

When you have a horse for sale, I'm not against writing "Horse for Sale." How about using "Information Marketing Blueprint" mixed with some point from your USP. (And no, a USP is not for after product launch, it's for before.)

Like "The 3 Step Information Marketing Blueprint"

Or "The 30 Day Information Marketing Blueprint"

No supreme. No ultimate. That says nothing but "don't buy."

  • You're asking for a lot of trust. Think about it for a minute, anyone who doesn't know their way around IM is confused and begins to realize there's a huge learning curve. Your one-stop product offers to help speed up that learning curve by offering everything in one place. That is if you know what you're talking about. They have to trust you.

So mention the "learning curve" in the product title and give proof that you are a reliable source of IM knowledge. In other words, show how the information in the course made you lots of money.

The course better deliver and the price has to be reasonable. Good luck.
  • "Selling Your Own Product Online Made Simple"

Keeping it simple which tells them exactly what's it about and the big benefit is that it is made simple.

Is that a simple reason to go with this? Makes a change from the meaningless hype and B.S.
that some of the market abhors.

    All the best,
    Ewen

P.S. Just came back so you don't overlook the obvious and simplicity of things.

John Carlton as you may allready know is the top copywriter around. He actually came up with the term "A-List copywriter". With all his word wizadry at his disposal, he came up with this name for his copywriting training "Simple Writing System".

Can there be anything more clear as to what that conveys to the reader.?

So I repeat "Selling Your Own Product Online Made Simple" is hard to beat.

    • Hi Mike,

You need to differentiate your product from everything else. How do you convey the big benefit immediately? What's the brand you want to establish?

Imagine your product on the shelves of Borders or Barnes and Noble. What would make someone pick up the product and buy? Compared to everyone else?

Your title has to cut through the competition.

      Best of success,

      - Rick Duris

  • Who is your target? without that any product name will be less than it could be.

Who is your main buyer? Stay-at-home moms? Schoolkid noobs? Bloggers who want to step up? Warrior forum members?

Put your finger on who you want to see as your main buyer. Then set a product name that they will relate to.

    • I agree its almost impossible to recommend a name for a product without knowing who your target market is.

Different target markets will have different hot buttons or emotional spots that you can tap into with a product name.

As well as that different targets will have a lot more knowledge and experience on certain subjects. So for a certain group of people you may need to mention online or internet marketing and for another you could easily omit those words altogether.

I come up with product names for clients and I at the very least need to know who its for and what it does.

      Hope that helps.
  • How about:
    Online Business Blueprint
  • Hey Mike,

    Internet Marketing Blueprint for Fools

    Just my 2cents

    Warren.
  • Yeah for your particular case I'd recommend that first you work on your own name as a brand, the then product name wouldn't really matter... e.g. Mike Gregory's E-Business Blueprint would sound great if your list and prospects know who's behind it.
You can see that trend with a lot of the real big name gurus like F. Kern and Eben Pagan (or mike filsaime's Affiliate Dot Com)
