In Business For Over 30 Years...

Hey everybody... I'm drawing up a yellow pages ad for my family jewelry store. We have been family owned and run for 32 years now. I'm trying to convey the trust value of this in the best possible way, in less than 10 words...

Any suggestions?

Who's your customer? How do your customers express emotion? What do they need to know that sells you, your family? The trust-value aspect of marketing your business is directly related to the underlying emotion associated with virtually every jewelry purchase. You need the answers to these three fundamental questions before putting a word on a page.

I'd take Rick Duris' advice and call up some longtime customers, or chat with people when they come in. You can ask why they like to do business with you...

...the question I'd be most excited to ask your customers is "What would you say when recommending us to a friend?"

I think you'll get the best, most honest answers here. You'll find out what is most important to your customer and then you can highlight those hot topics in your 10 words.

Good luck, you have a tough job ahead of you.

How does being "family owned and run for 32 years" benefit your customers? The gold is in the answer.
