First Affiliate Press Release
Hi everyone,
I am currently writing a press release for a business that I've somehow ended up becoming the business developer for (long story- that was not what I applied to do). I have written press releases previously, but the field was very different in those cases. My previous press releases mostly related to public policy and advocacy work. Most of the time, the press releases I wrote were not selling anything- they were actually intended for the press to pick up our story and hopefully raise an awareness for our cause. Obviously, there will be very different principles in play when you write press releases to tell someone about a product.
I'm fairly confident that I can do it and do it well, but I try to approach everything I do with as much education and preparation as possible. Can anyone direct me to a good resource on using press releases for marketing?
