What do you like most about copywriting?

Inquiring minds want to know.

For me, there are two things I like most about copywriting.

1. Taking a simple product and turning it into something that make buyers just 'gotta have it'.

2. All the free products I get to try out. I remember when writing one sales letter, I actually started to salivate because I wanted to try the product so bad.

Come on. You can tell me. What do you like most about copywriting?

    Learning some of the things I know now, specifically with NLP, (not necessarily specific to copywriting) it not only helps with persuasion in print but also in my personal life as well.

    It's an evergreen skill, and translates into many other mediums other than just Internet Marketing. You stand to benefit in many different ways from learning how to influence people on and offline.

        I love thinking back to sales letters that got me super-excited about a product and trying to transpose that feeling to prospects to the point where they anticipate the product's delivery like kids at Christmas.

        That's why I like taking the Joe Sugarman approach to product description.

        BTW, found this great Sugarman interview the other day...it explains howhe got that quote from Al Gore.

            My pleasure Angel.

            I just feel more people should learn from Joe. Unlike so many other "gurus" who've made their mint, Joe's still a people-person and a genuinely likeable individual.

            I'm sure some marketers would love to be able to sell that interview.

        Strong join date myob. That is truly inspiring that you travel to different regions of the world experiencing different cultures. I bet you have a lot of interesting stories.

          I like being able to use my writing talents and copywriting training to make someone else's life better.

          Selling the right product to the right person is what it's all about, to me. (And yes, I've also written for people from all over the world - but they do have to speak English, lol!)

          And I also love being able to use my life-long story-telling ability to suck the ideal prospect-readers into my copy and trigger their buy-it-NOW reactions!

    I enjoy both of the above, and learning about new stuff.

    Plus I just love working with language, and crafting it to do what I want it to do.

    And in copywriting, you get paid to do that. In poetry, you don't (not usually).

    I write both.

    I like getting all the free porducts and knowing I can do something worth while. Something that could help small biz grow or big biz grow bigger.

    Sometime I even get WOWed by something I wrote, thinking that can't be me that wrote that. It doesn't happen often but is has happened.
