The problem with amateur copywriters...
But still, amateur copywriters all have one thing in common - and it's a problem you'll all have to overcome.
If I'm being completely honest though, this is still something I battle with every friggin' day...
What's the problem?
Rush-jobs.
Going into a project without the necessary battle plan is like heading into a restaurant in China and having no idea how to read Chinese.
Take the time to do the research before-hand, and take the time to split your writing into specific groups.
Even if it's a small job, make sure to give yourself a few days to get away from the copy so you can come back with fresh eyes and see where you can improve.
If you go straight from first draft into editing mode, you'll miss almost every single one of the mistakes you're making that could have turned the letter into a winner.
So quit that... It's detrimental to your clients AND yourself.
Just slow down and take things step by step.
