Hey Guys,

I have a squeeze page that I have been using
for awhile

I Didn't write it , and it's REALLY Ugly (looks like
a 3rd Grader did it)

here it is

Facebook Ad Explosion

It Converts at 45%, which is OK but I wanted to
redo it to get it above 50%

My friend has a squeeze page that converts at
55% with Name and Email and 73% with just the email

Its a Simple above the fold page with just a image
of the product on the left and an optin form on the right

So I modeled after him and created this yesterday

Facebook Ads

It's too early to tell but SO Far this morning it looks like the Old ugly
one is winning

Maybe the $197 Value is a bit over the top and not believable?

Here's a little trick to build value. When I offer a report with a $37 as a bonus, I cheat ... by Selling It For $37 FIRST. The bonus for me: I have a pretty good idea what builds the value to at least $37.

I can hang a price on a product, but that doesn't build the value to that price point. There's something about going to the customer for validation of your value building.

I'd add a couple of points-worth of details of how they'll benefit from those vids.

A big, bland headline probably wont cut it.

      My friends Headline is

      "Please eMail My Free Download"

(can't get much more bland than that ... lol)

he has no Bullets .. just an Ecover

      converts at 55%

I'm missing somethign here ... I'll figure it out

      that's what testing is for

    That works better for me.

The one with '$197' would put me off - talking money (even when it relates to something you're giving away) straight out of the blocks sets a tone.

Without knowing what your friend is selling, this could be an apples-to-oranges comparison. Markets at different stages of awareness sometimes require different approaches.

For example, the fat loss market... you can pretty much throw up a squeeze that offers - say - tips on getting 6 pack abs in a week, or whatever, and get email addys.

However, the market you're talking to is already using FB (or understands its potential as an advertising medium), so I think we can assume they're reasonably Internet-savvy.

Which means they're possibly less likely to be persuaded to give up their email addy in exchange for some vague offer of dubious value.

Your first ad builds the value. Your second does not. That, alone, may explain the different response levels.

The other possibility is that these two ads are not alike, at all. Layout, headline, copy, graphics... all are completely different. Which isn't going to give you a true picture of performance variables, because changing any one of these could make a difference in response.

You might try running Ad #2 with the headline from Ad #1, and see what happens. Or Ad #1 with the layout of Ad #2. Or adding the body copy to Ad #2.

There's no proof or credibility. Might not hurt adding that.

Headline seems a little flat to me.

Also, you say "6 part video course" and there's a picture of 12 DVD's. Not sure how noticeable that is to the target audience, but congruency always seems to be a good thing.

And don't forget traffic source will make a huge difference.

It's entirely possible your friend has better traffic than you.

Maybe if he used a decent headline his response rate would be even higher.

    You just never know...

Ok well this is pretty cool

My original Squeeze page (which was a PLR
      site) converted at 45%

I started from Scratch and did a Simple Above the Fold
page and optins dropped to 30%

I tweaked it with some suggestions made here and so far
this morning it's converting at almost 70%!

thanks a lot for the suggestions guys.

            Hi, Jack

What is the source of your traffic?

How does that affect what type of squeeze page you would use?

Thanks in advance for the insight.

When you do an adswap, does the list owner recommend your product?

This is probably getting outside the bounds of the forum, but I was just wondering.

                Thanks for your help
