Best Book On The Technical Side Of Copywriting

Hey Guys,

Do any of you know a step by step book or course I can read/follow on the actual structuring of a sales letter in details.

I get the whole overview of a letter: get attention, build desire, channel that desire into your product, prove that your product can satisfy the desire, ask for action, etc..

I get that and I also get what to say to do those things but my problem is structuring everything.

For example, I know that I have to keep sentences and paragrapghs short but how many paragraphs before subheads and things like that is what i need help with.

I'm not sure if I'm making much sense but I get what to do but I need something to guide me step by step in details with structuring the letter.

Please help me if you can.

the best technical book is the one where you model what other successful copywriters are doing.

modeling is amazing, if you get good enough you can even future pace what they will write or do next.

scary, but that's what I've been told.

I haven't figured that part out yet.

    best,

    Ross

Best of all, you can get it in a reprint for around $15:

    Thanks for the recommendation man.

So this book will actually guide step by step through the structuring of the letter right?

      Thanks a lot man.

I've ordered a copy of that book from amazon, hopefully it will guide me through this process.

      Thanks again.

Interesting. I googled for the title adding "pdf" and found several places where it could be downloaded in pdf format. At that age, the copyright has expired ... at least in the US.

Another book I think Gary Halbert recommended was The Robert Collier Letter Book. It was on the web, but not legally. But it is available on Amazon for about $20.00.

        Breakthrough Advertising.

Get on Amazon and spend the money, man.

I just bought the last two $60 copies yesterday. And TotalPackage isn't selling new ones anymore.

You're gonna be shelling out $120 for that magic goodness pretty soon.

          Hey man,

I have breakthrough advertising and I've read it twice already. I think it's easily the best of all the copywriting books but if you read my original question you'll see that's not what I'm looking for.

Let's see, that book does show you how to structure a letter. So Does Power Copywriting For the Internet, which you have also read.

            You wrote...

No, you are not making any sense.

              Hey man,

I get what you mean and it`s really hard to explain what I mean.

It`s fine though, I`ve received a lot of good recommendations already and I should have enough to accomplish what I`m trying to do.

              Thanks everyone for the help.

                Hey man,

I understood you. And I can appreciate you'd get lost in BA, especially only two times through it.

Read it again. This time, look at it as if he's walking you from a sales letter from start to finish.

                You'll see. :-)

    That's a great little book.

Too few people know about it.

I love how amazon has all of the little-known copywriting books.

I also love that I am a prime member.
