Writing Copy for Affiliate Product Reviews

I'm trying to write copy for Amazon affiliate reviews. One of the industry's I'm writing about is one that I have pretty great knowledge of. It seems that most people around here are saying that you need to hit the 1,000 word mark to make the most of a review. Anyone have any tips on how they write great copy for this situation?

    That is a lot of words to write unless you are doing some big ticket items. You certainly can do that, but depending on your market you can probably write less.

    But if you have a lot to say and can keep it interesting, then you could probably go on to even longer reviews.

      A good majority of the items will be $150 plus. With some as high as $1,000.00.

    You don't need to write any where near that level, 250 words would be sufficient, but even at 250 and setting up the pages it will take a long time if you are relying on SEO.

    Try looking up some systems to crank out the reviews and pages quicker.

    I find that the reviews that convert best on my sites are the the ones between 600 and 1000 words.

    When I'm writing reviews I think about what products people need more info on before they buy.

    I then write "value adding" reviews: don't just use a plugin to throw up Amazon content on a blog. Write a human review about the product. What's good about it? What's not so good? What do other customer's say? Why is it better than other similar products?

    I also make sure I include technical details if relevant - have a look online and see if you can find the manuals or instruction books. If it's a "flat pack" item that needs assembly then write about how long it really takes, and what equipment/tools they'll need.
