I've been working in retail sales for a major department store and though I am really good at it (#1 in the store & #2 in the district) it's just not what I want to be doing. To top it off I have a condition that is preventing me working at all for the next month or so.

Being a freelance writer is what I truly want to do, but just not sure how to get this career off the ground so that I can start making money immediately and pay my bills.

With all that being said I have experience writing. I worked for 10 years writing copy in the advertising department of a newspaper. I have written articles, newsletters an ebook and some ereports, all of which can be seen on my site citylightsmarketing.com that I put up by myself.

I have many talents and I'm very creative. I've designed countless print ads and that translates well into a lot of different things, such as website layout design and ebook cover design.

I know word inside out and have been surfing the web for many years. I know I want to work from home, making a good income so I can have the freedom and the lifestyle I would like to enjoy.

Any advice any of you can give me on how to land writing gigs that pay an acceptable amount would be appreciated.
