Your premise dies with the idea, "(no matter what the product)."

Think about "granite," "gourmet," and "spa-style." Will these grab your eyes if you're buying a piece of software? How about if you're buying a house?

If you're buying a house, do you want to see the word, "Free?" Or will you automatically think you're dealing with a sleazeball developer who's trying to sell you something built on swampland?

How about "XXX," "fetish," and, "whips?"

I know you're hoping for something generic like, "FREE!," "NEW!" and, "you." But good luck with that.

I've been inclined lately to have my eyeballs grabbed by "meltdown," "tsunami," and "aftershock."

Which I don't recommend using in your marketing materials, because people will call you a ghoul, and your wife will say things like, "Oxbloom, go sleep on the couch."

Twenty-eight posts in this thread. Now what can I possibly list that could top that?

What hasn't already been listed? What hasn't even been hinted at? ("You" does come close ...if only people understood the point of using you.)

What could I, a humble [cough ...choke], regular guy-on-the-street use that would get any prospect in any industry to NOT throw the letter into the garbage immediately? What three words flag the attention and tell a reader in no uncertain terms the contents of the letter will be of interest?

1. Your prospect's first name

2. Your prospect's middle name

3. Your prospect's last name.

And for the experts opinining, computer geniuses all, a humble additional term from a lowly computer user .... MAIL MERGE. And no, I do not mean slamming in the recipient's name everywhere like a ham-handed novice.

...should a bonus, lightning round for this game be added: HOUSE LIST.
