Shooting for a 2% Conversion Rate - Please Annihilate my Sales Page

Hi everyone,

Thanks a lot for taking a look at my post, here's my story so far:

My sales page was converting O.K. at a little over 1% of total traffic. But being the perfectionist that I am, I wasn't satisfied. The prospect of literally leaving money on the table was more than enough to cause me to spend over 2 weeks refining and tuning the copy and headlines.

This was the product of those 2 weeks: How to Seduce Hot Women - How to Pick Up and Date Women

And so I write to you today with a request:

Please, ANNIHILATE my sales page - Leave nothing out, be as brutal as you want to be and help me to stop obsessing about my copy.

Thanks in advance

You page looks pretty professional. YOur headlines are
on the long-and-redundant side but they are clear.

The obvious thing to do is test some new headlines
    and test a different offer.

It is possible you are just asking too much money
    for the ebook.

If you ask me theres not much of a point in asking for less money unless you have a backend, you'll just hurt your overall profits.

I think the closing can be improved, gotta take them down the fork in the road and tell them to buy.

      Headlines, test.

And more proof, with more of it early on. Establish credibility sooner. Try adding a credibility pre-head. Like

Bla bla bla, you get the point.

EDIT- I didn't see your pop-in the first time
I looked... and I wrote what is below thinking
    you weren't collecting opt-ins.

Well, Pagan is the master of this stuff... so study his
killer free info and learn... it's the whole marketing system
he has that makes it work.

If you were pounding a P.U.A. list every couple of days
with good content and then telling them you've put it
all together in the book.... well, follow-up is where you
will see your profits double and triple.

If you are buying/driving traffic straight from the SEs
to this sales-letter you have a 1-step marketing funnel -
which works with books pretty well actually... but more
effective in the long run is the 2-step process where you
give away the free report or whatever to get the list
and then market to the list consistently - and even
95% of the marketers who get a list drop the ball in the
    consistency department.

It's a lot of work to do it... but if you do you can easily
get better results in the long run.

Try something like this right on your "order form"

    "Remember:

It does NOT matter if you're not super handsome
It does NOT matter if you're not in tip-top shape
It does NOT matter if you don't have a high-paying job
It does NOT even matter if you ride a bicycle

You CAN get the women you want with this system. It comes
with a no-questions asked money-back guarantee so you have
    nothing to lose."

You can even phrase the statements with those check-box
things so people can sort of interact.

All good advice given; love the site, I woud have opted in if I didnt purchase. Had a slight issue with the price though.

  • Thanks for the quick advice guys, especially Loren , loved the order box idea.

As for the price, I think it's a pretty fair price for the book, most guides on clickbank are charging $49.

But I get the feeling that my page makes the product seem like a 'cheaper' one rather than a premium alternative..

Any suggestions on how I can pump up the percieved value?

    Thanks

"Here's Exactly How to Pick up & Seduce ANY Woman, Anytime, Anywhere Using a Simple, Step by Step System That Works Everytime - Guaranteed"

I'm feeling a "ya right" from reading this. I've written for this market a couple of times. Does the course even teach that you can literally get with any woman at any time?

That's not what my research showed. And it's an over the top claim. Even if it was true, the reader may not be ready to hear it. I'd provide more proof first and tone down the claim.

I'd also rework your headline/deck copy using the four U's:

    Uniqueness
    Ultra-specific
    Usefullness
    Urgent

Right now all you've got is usefullness. It's not unique, think of how many other products could use that headline. It definitely lacks specifics. And there's no urgency.

I might also try moving the "seen on google, new york times" yada yada to below the headlines. I think it'd get a lot more attention there. From Ryan Deiss' tips on banner ads, he found that position to be worthless.

And are you going to give a reason for why your course is $37 instead of $67 or what not? If there was one, I didn't see it.

    Hey George,

Great Copy... Don't take this the wrong way... But Have you thought of
    split-testing your name...

George Montagu Brown sounds a little ivy league if you ask me...

How about testing just George Brown or George Montagu, and then just
    sign the letter... George

    Just an idea...

    Cheers,

    Rob

P.S. Pump up the perceived value with more proof... Your current
pictures are great, but maybe pictures of you in action instead of you
with girls posing for the camera might convert better... just an idea.

Want to add REAL proof to your page? Post a video of you doing a REAL pickup. I've been in the PUA community for a while and one thing that lets me know your credibility RIGHT off the bat is video proof.

If you want to go up against the best like RSD and MM... then do what they do. They have videos that show them IN-FIELD.

Now David D got away without video proof simply because he was one of the original founders and has built a solid rep... but dating is now a competitive market so you HAVE to set yourself apart.

****... grab a female friend and stage it if you really want (not recommended but will still get you results)

Then you can charge a premium price.

    Cheers!

P.S- just out of curiosity what type of method do you teach? Is it more direct or indirect or a combination of both? Pm me and let me know.

price seems low for what you're offering and that price reduction suggests less value. like you've had some refund issues or that you know you won't be able to deliver. also it seems like you're sending mixed messages, are you targeting guys who want quality or quantity? you seem to be after both groups. could you be alienating both because you aren't sticking to one?

I agree with metalslug some video proof would immediately improve your proof dramatically.

I would put it right below the headline

Quick comment George (actually in the form of a question)...

You wrote Order Now. For A Limited Time Only! Followed by was 64.95 now only $37. What's the reason for this? Why for a limited time only, why did you drop the price?

Now, you might have explained that somewhere in the letter but people don't fully read letters. They skim (as I just did) and stop at parts that grab their attention. I'm willing to be that what I just pointed out will not make the difference between 1% and 2% CR, however, just for the very careful readers ... you should definitely give a reason why.

Another thing worth mentioning: test $37 vs. $39.99. Not only will you make $2.99 more per sale but you might be pleasantly surprised that the latter converts better. I've tested this and found it be the case (against $37, $39, $39.95). You might not have the same results but it's worth the test.

By the way... what's your source of traffic? If it's a mix are you running PPC ads? And if so, what's your CR on PPC?

I like the deck copy a lot better.

The red type appears to be the headline, it's still not too specific and I'm wary of the claim "any woman."

But I do like that you get more specific about the guy (127).

The "any woman" claim I think is too unbelievable. If you look at the doubleyourdating sales letter, the claim is much closer to earth,

"Here's How To Meet And Date The Kind Of Women You've Always Wanted"

It's still a powerful claim, but isn't over the top. That's what I think would be best for you.

Also, I think you should at least allude to the fact that you used to have the same problem as the reader earlier in the copy. Make sure they know you're on there team early on, it'll help give them a reason to keep reading.

    Cheers,
    Stephen Dean
