Hey,

Doing a new course on email marketing and the one
fear I have is, Is this what the market wants?

i've scoured Amazon.com and there are not a lot of
email related marketing books.

Most of the PPC competition is from aweber/constant contact
type companies.

Where do you start to get to the heart of a market?

    First think about your ideal customer. Since you are doing lessons on email marketing, your customer is someone who wants to learn or learn more about email marketing.

    Why would he/she want to learn more about email marketing?

    Are they promoting a product? Working as affiliate marketers building a list? Wanting to keep in contact with their current customers?

    Once you've made a list of potential customers, it should be an extensive and thorough one, try to find a way to market to those people. The question to be asked is "What resources are available for me to get my message across to my target audience?" This is where you can look through adwords, demographics, and other research to find out which markets are viable.

    Hi Lawton,

    Look in forums, look on chats, look on Facebook, your workplace, your family, etc.

    Ask them the questions, observe what their complaints are, listen to what they're looking for.

    For your market, one great resource is right here in the Warrior forum. Do some searching on email marketing, check out older threads, see what questions have been asked - and which have been answered.
