I need help with conversions! Any conversion experts out there?

Hey everyone,

I don't post in this part of the forum much, and I think I should start reading it a bit more too, but I need some help and I hope theres some Warriors out there who can show me the way or at least give me some tips.

Here's the story: I'm getting about 3000-4000 visitors per day to my niche site.

Out of that I am getting about 25-35 opt ins to my mailing list per day.
I am getting about a 0.69% CTR with my adsense ads on the site.
I am earning anywhere from $0 - $70 a day commissions, some days Ive had higher days but on average they are usually aroun $30-$70 a day from commissions.

I need help improving all of this. I rely on my email follow ups to convert most of my sales, but I need to improve the conversions of ALL aspects of my site..

I now have enough traffic that I should be rolling in it, but I'm going to hit around $2000 this month between commissions and adsense, but I'll have about 60,000 visits this month, so I need to improve my conversions.

If anyone wants to spend some time helping me out, I'd be glad to toss you a few bucks, a few links, or some traffic advice if you can help me increase my conversions.

Please PM me, contact me on Skype, or reply in this thread if you are feeling nice enough to give me a hand.

THANK YOU!

I don't want to give away my niche and keywords here. That's why I'm asking for private communications with people, I'd rather not have every Warrior knowing what keywords I'm getting all this traffic for.

You really should be getting up to 300 to 400 opt ins a day with that traffic.

First thing you can do is add more opt in forms.

Ditch the adsense if it's only making you a few bucks and use Robert plank's action popup to amp up your list building.

When someone opts in, redirect them directly to an offer instead of a confirm your subscription page.

Use Devon brown's wp lap dance to pop up on exit and make an offer for your freebie.

Get a more attractive freebie to give away that has more perceived value.

Use the color red near your opt in forms to attract the eye.

Tweak your design to make the eye get drawn to your opt in form.

Add a little copy and an opt in form at the bottom of every article in the content.

Add an opt in on your sidebar.

Use Eric Grahame ultimate submit button.

Nest a squeeze page made of graphic text above every page of your site instead of a crappy header graphic that serves no monetary purpose.

Get an ecover graphic for your bait piece.

That's about all I can think of right now.

i have a great open rate on my daily deals emails but my CTR sucks. i feel like the content is persuasive but the numbers just aren't there. i'm testing different content lengths / approaches but i'm really kind of stumped.

so... jason... seriously.. if you think of anything else... i'm all ears.

Well it's been about a month and I can't think of anything to add lol...

I'll basically say the same thing in a different way, maybe that will lend more insight.

One of the major things you can do is get a more attractive bait piece.

For example... if you're targeting beginners in the internet marketing niche, what's going to pull better? A white paper or report? Or 101 ebooks with private label rights with an ecover representation of the 101 ebooks?

The 101 ebooks with private label rights will destroy the common "opt-in for this free report."

That's the very first thing I'd do... Get a better free offer with 10x the perceived value.

It's not what you think is more valuable. It's all about the level of market sophistication of your target visitors and matching that with the most attractive offer possible in their eyes.

Then I'd create more places for visitors to opt-in.

And I'd also use some reds near optin forms to draw the eye.

I'd also use Eric Graham's Ultimate Submit Button where it goes from red to green.

And use the scripts out there designed to grab more subscribers.

Plus I'd put a little picture of a lock underneath your opt-in forms with a little wording that says something like,"Your information is secure and confidential and will never be shared"

...This stuff is not so much copywriting as it is conversion-thinking... if that makes sense.

Some very useful tips here. I'm also trying to improve conversions.

I'm unintentionally deceiving visitors on my B2B website.

It's a product showcase without pricing info.

Later, I had intended to add a shop at the back end. Each product has a link which says click here to buy xyz, which would have gone to the pricing info.

However, I discovered that the customer dialogue (mostly by phone) was more valuable in this niche market than just supplying pricing for penny pinchers, so meanwhile every single link (about 180-200) leads to the contact form. The abandonment rate of this form is 88%.

There is a little sales text and a professional-looking talking head provided by the Oddcast service.

The form asks for just, name, company, phone and email.

Like the other forum member above it would be great to send the link by PM to get some confidential tips. Afterwards, I will be pleased to summarize the tips made and the improvements achieved for the benefit of the forum.

          Thanks

Be gentle but any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hey ExploringInfinity, (Cool name btw.)

Judging by those numbers, it looks like you're getting about a 0.8% Opt-in rate to your page... and you're right when you said, that most sales will come from the back-end e-mail series.

The mistake most marketers think, is that it's the web copy that brings in the bulk of the money, but the truth, as any Copywriter worth his salt will tell you, is that it's the opt-ins and auto-responders that bring in the best results.

I've seen up to 20%-25% conversion rates on sites that have an irresistibly compelling opt-in offer, followed by an undeniably powerful auto-responder series.

You have two basic options, you can of course, learn how to write the copy yourself, or, if you're not familiar with doing it yourself, you'd probably be better off finding a really good copywriter to do it for you.

I can, of course, do it, as well as many of the solid copywriters here on this forums. Feel free to PM me, or one of the copywriters on this forum, and I'm sure you'll get some compelling copy which can increase your sales tenfold or more.

I hope that helps, let me know if you have any other questions. Take it easy
