I'm sure you'll get lots of folks ringing in ... so I'll touch on the "low hanging fruit" (so to speak).

    1. The rotating images at the top ad nothing to pulling people into the copy, getting a lead or making a sale. I suggest you lose them.

    2. No headline. You need something to instantly HOOK your reader and get them to read the first line.

    3. If you're going to go with a video - move it up top. (I won't go into the video, but I think it need to be more compelling. Though the "price juxtaposition - comparing your price to a host of magazine subscriptions is good).

    4. Capture leads. You may not be able to sell in a one-step process. Soooo, make sure to have a way to market to prospects.

Put up an an opt-in form with the offer of a free report. For example: "7 Things you can do to make your desktop computer run at mainframe speeds"

    Hope this helps.

    I agree with Mark.

When I looked at the page my eyes went everywhere. The top header with the logo and login must go. It's ok for after the sale for support or discussions but it detracts from the sales letter.

The big rotating graphic needs to go as well as the logo PC HealthCheck . I know you like your logo, and it's a nice one, but it means nothing to the potential buyer.

I would focus on a problem they are having and make that the headline. If you don' t know what problem is most disturbing then try different sales letters with different headlines and test.

Cost: $160 normally but $59.97 now. It's not clear to me if this is an ebook / software, or a combination. You do have a list of things included later, but the reader may get to this point and bail out. Save the price for much later and justify it as a bargain.

It strikes me that perhaps a hidden key to selling it might be those that plan to offer this as a service and make money. "This is the same system we use every single day and charge $160 per computer for this unique service"

I would search the internet, download free virus and maleware checkers all day long before I would pay $59.97 to fix my computer. If however I had a secret manual on how to charge $160 per client that's something different.

      Thanks guys,
I'll work on your comments right away. It's always hard as a computer tech to know just how much info to put on a website.

Looking forward to everyone else's comments too...

This page needs so much work, I don't know where to start.

But one thing is clear: You know your product. But you do not know your prospect. It's time to find out.

            Ok... fair statement.

So let me give you a viable solution. And let me not mince words:

Hire a copywriter. A good one. Bite the bullet.

In your situation, as one of my marketing friends occasionally says, "You can't turn chicken sh*t into chicken salad."

This is why I am avoiding offering details and improvements. It will do no good overall.

            - Rick Duris

PS: If you doubt, go ahead and turn on the traffic spigot.

This isn't about optimizing, tweaking, improving, enhancing or refining the piece. This is "Abandon, and start over."

PPS: You wanted brutal? You got brutal.

    You're missing the point here.
Firstly - the video is a temporary one, it will be recorded on green screen before the site is promoted.

There are many tools out there that claim to fix your pc. The truth is - they don't. That's why IT engineers are called out to fix issues. 9 times out of 10, people are extremely interested and want to watch what we do to fix issues. People always wish they could be more IT literate.

That aim is to provide both the tools and training require in the simplest steps without going too technical. The old proverb, give a man a fish and he can eat well for a day. Give a man training and a fishing rod and he can eat well for life.

This is EXACTLY what I am talking about. You are connecting two separate thoughts: 1) IT engineers are called out because self administrated tools don't work, 2) "People are extremely interested and want to watch what we do to fix issues."

Both are based upon upon false assumptions.

Let me make this super-ultra-uber-easy for you.

Next time you are personally called out to "fix issues," go ahead and sell them on PC Health Unleashed and see what it takes to close them for an additional $69.00.

Regardless of whether you are successful or not, when you get back in your car, write down EVERYTHING you learned in a notebook. Those folks you visited are your PRIME prospects.

If they bought, GREAT! And write down what it took for you to sell them. What did you say? What did they say?

And if they didn't buy, that's even better because now you'll begin to understand what the objections are you need to overcome next time.

Either way, you win. Keep doing that until you can confidently close 2 out of 10. And then whatever is in your notebook at that point, put on your webpage.

The writing is pretty, eh, not good. Terrible really. (But you already know that.)

Except for the body font, which could be bigger, I like the layout and shape. However, the bar chart with green bars may be appealing to us techies, maybe not so much to mom and pop.

Yeah, I'd take anything Rick Duris suggests and implement it immediately -- like figuring out who you're selling. I don't even know if mom and pop is your target. I'm assuming. You've got to hone in on a target before you start working the copy.

I'd try out the "Secrets Of Computer Engineers" angle. And maybe something in the, "Never Call Your Grandson To Fix Your Computer Again" arena.

      Good luck!

I might change the whole angle to "How to Make Money with Your Own PC Business" and target the ITers.

It's purpose is to Teach You how to be a computer engineer and fix the most common problems people face
        Sounds like torture to me.

My pc is a two year old piece of ****. It was really fast when I bought it. So I read your copy and was like..."Oh cool. Oh I do it myself and they teach me how!? Cool. Oh...let's see how much...$60? I think I'll just buy a new netbook for $239."

So basically for myself, I don't have $1500 for a macbook, but I don't want to drop $60 on something that is basically an ebook course.

Make it cheaper, like, 50% cheaper, or add more value. But that's just me.

Your first two subheads are about your product, when they should be about your prospect. More specifically, they should be about the problems your prospect wants to solve.

"Speed up your slow computer while you protect it from viruses," could be the first sub-head (not a great one, but something that benefits the customer--something the customer cares about).

Then maybe your second subhead could read "Made by computer whiz from CalTech and tested for 6 months while surfing for porn". Something to show a little credentials and/or proof.

You don't need to tell how your product works, until you get down to showing them some more detailed reasons why your tool is the best.

Shift your focus away from your product and towards your prospect, find out what his/her chief computer worries are and why they are worries to him/her, and then address how your product can solve those worries.

Your sales letter shouldn't start with your product--it should start with your prospect.

If you really want to knkow how to write a good sales letter, you'll have to dive in and read good sales letters and read a thing or two about sales writing. It'll take you a little while. Mr. Duris has a pretty good suggestion about hiring someone who's already invested the time and effort.

If you 100% have to do it yourself, this is a good place to start learning:
    The Gary Halbert Letter

If you want to jump-start it, I would say jsut get yourself a copy of the Robert Collier Letter Book. You'll understand waht you need to do about 5000% more, after you've finished that book. I bought mine at Barnes & Noble for less than 30 bucks. They should be able to order it if they don't already have it.

I'm bored so I'm going to rewrite some of your copy :p

Why is it that Windows PCs start off extremely fast but a few months later, you end up wanting to throw them out of the window because it’s suddenly turned into the slowest computer on earth!?

Just like a car, every year, computers need regular service and routine maintenance. Windows computers become slower over time. They become slower and slower. You end up with numerous viruses that steal your email passwords and personal information, you run out of disk space and everything seems to take longer than it used to. Just because you have a virus checker installed doesn't mean you are protected. They can fool virus scanners and steal your personal information. Identity theft is on the increase. Protect yourself and follow our step by step guide to protect yourself from fraud.

      Is your PC agonizingly slow?

It's always the same story, your PC computer was lightening fast when your first brought it home but now it crawls along like a snail!

Most people use their computers everyday. Whether they're checking in with friends, playing games or doing work, people demand a lot out of their PCs. The problem is that most people will never perform any type of routine maintenance. Just like a car, a computer picks up a lot of dirt and clutter during it's life and needs to be cleaned periodically.

A Slow PC is a Warning Sign!

What many people don't realize is that their PC might be slow because it's been infected with an array of security threats such as viruses, keyloggers, trojans and adware. If your computer is infected with any of these nasty programs then your private information is at serious risk.

      Virus Scanners are Useless

Many people think their computer is safe because they have a store bought anti-virus program but nothing could be further from the truth! Hackers and identity thieves work day and night to circumvent these common security measures and make their living on the trust people place in these programs. Cases of identity theft have sky-rocketed over the past decade because people don't realize how insecure their computer really is.

      Don't become another statistic!

Ok, that's all you get for now, my shows are almost on lol Feel free to use this if you'd like, I'm sure you can pay it forward or something.

You need to decide if this is a salespage or an opt-in page. FOCUS. If you don't focus you can't expect your reader to do so.

It's obvious to me you know a ton about tech, but does your target market? Simplify this page, get an opt-in, then slowly share the complexities. BUT don't forget buying is done because of emotions. Justifying the purchase will be done with all the facts, figures, and know-how you point out.

    Good luck!
