Hello,

This is my first post in this forum (it looks great btw).

I'm wondering if you guys could guide me in two things:

1. Where to get good copywriters?

2. How much dows it cost to write a e-mail newsletter (normal size)?

Regards,
tp

    Hi tp,

First of all, welcome aboard and enjoy the forum.

Well, there's a lot of providers you can find on the Internet however; I would suggest to hire an outsourcing firm that offers writing services. Freelance work entails irregular working hours. Although a little pressure motivates the freelancer to keep up, the quality of work expected is compromised. Since freelancers are self-employed, they are naturally in the pursuit of more projects to sustain them. As this is a good motivation, it also limits the freelancer to devote all his mind and time to a project.

Well this might as well be self advertising. Ridiculous.

You can find good copywriters at the sticky near the top of this Copywriting forum.

For a good email newsletter written by a professional who knows what they're doing, expect to pay least a few hundred dollars.

Yes. And so clearly the solution is to put another layer between YOU and the freelancer by going through an oursourcing firm.

And you're still working with a freelancer, but now there's a middleman, see? And that somehow is better.

Because, uh ... quality controls ... or something.

Everytime I consider hring a copywriter for even a small project, in the end I do it myself.
For example, I am doing a postcard campaign for one of my online marketing services and would love to find someone to write short ad/promo copy for the postcard. But, not so easy to find someone who want sto do it. Sure Fiverr, but rare to find someone with fairly decent skills on there

Ken, we already have a co-op...

It's called "Those agencies produce crap copy at outrageous prices".

Okay, okay... the name needs work

Fortunately, I don't have to choose my words carefully to respond to the outrageous comments from 'myeanne'.....my fellow freelancers have very nicely put him/her in their place.

TP....another place to look for a copywriter is the Warriors For Hire section of this forum.

    Really?

    Self serve much?

I looked at your site. I'd happily go
up against your best writer on my worst
    day. Hungover. On no sleep.

And I'd smile while I kicked their ass.

And I might even pursue other projects
at the same time. To sustain myself, obvs.

As a greedy freelancer, I loves me some
    sustenance.

OP: Start with the copywriters directory
at the top of the page here. Shoot out some
PMs, see who has the best track record in
the area you're working in. Run with them.

    Hope that helps.
