I Laugh Myself :-) (sometime)

Hi,

I have been doing small research for the past 4 ~ 5 days at WarriroForum and some other site. Actually I'm looking for copywriters for my project.

I look at almost every thread (not all), to see which offer is best and most importantly is their quality of work. So in order to see that I need to see the sample, I follow their website or blog and some of them has portfolio which then has a link to their client website.

Now! come to the interesting part. I smile myself sometime when I see their client's website is no more in business, some of them link to parking domain and etc. This some how give negative impression to the prospect who looking for service.

Come to this statement...

" Its the copywriters job to write good copy, but its the client's job to market the copy. A failure in marketing correctly means a poor response to the campaign. "

I guess this is marketer failure?

But if you guys don't update your porfolio link, form client point of view it does give wrong impression on your service.

    That's actually a valid point.

I've seen that quite a lot and doesn't make the owner of the site look very good.

In fact, I've seen that type of thing on some prominent internet marketers' and copywriters' sites.

      It certainly is.

It's not necessarily a sign of marketer failure. Some products and services have a limited life, and you can only flog them to death for so long. Websites come and go, and it's important to check external links regularly to make sure they're still active.

The easiest way around things is to post samples of your work directly to your own site. Wherever possible, I prefer to see potential clients getting in touch before they see anything at all. That way, they get to see my service as well as my work.

A very important point from the OP.
