Please help me with site conversion

I have recently re-vamped this review site and now I am not getting any sales. Could someone who has successful review sites please give me some advice on how to improve my site so that I can consistently get sales.

Please........ any advice will be appreciated.

    Hi Lucinda,

Took a look. I personally don't care for the header at all.

I would drop the Headline: "Don't Waste Valuable Time When it Comes to Getting Your Ex Back."

and use the sub-headline as the Headline:

"Discover the quickest and most effective way to get your ex back before they end up with someone else!"

then try this first line of copy as your sub-headline:

    Stop wasting precious time!

    In other words,

"Discover the quickest and most effective way to get your Ex back
before they end up with someone else!"

    and STOP wasting precious time!

Then go directly into your Top Pick review from this point without the short copy in front of it.

    ---

Of course, these are just my first thoughts for an attempt at a greater conversion ratio. You will probably receive many suggestions of greater value.

hope I have been of some help,

    Doug

I like the headline Doug gave you. Filled with emotional triggers.

I think you start selling too quickly. After the headline I would include a story about you or someone else going through the following steps...

      1. broke up.
      2. Did the common things people do to get their ex back and failed.
      3. Struggled for weeks trying to get your ex back. Had a breakthrough.
      4. Used the breakthrough to get your ex back.
      5. Taught breakthrough to others. They got results too.
      6. You decided to turn this "breakthrough" or secret, into a system.
      7. Now buy my shit. As Frank Kern would say.

    Lucinda,

Before I look over everything, please do share some stats with us. It's not as simple as changing this or that on the page to increase conversions...of course that's part of the process but there is more to that.

What's your daily, weekly, monthly traffic stats like? Give me numbers.

Where's the traffic coming from? PPC, SEO, Blogs, RSS etc....

What ever traffic method you're using, what do the keywords look like? Are they broad and early in the purchase cycle? Or long tail, detailed and late in the cycle.

I'll look over the page in a bit and give my take on it...but these are major factors that we need to know to help that people miss much too often.

    All the best,

    Mike

Thanks to all for the suggestions.

      Mike,

I will give you some numbers from Dec. 8th until now. I chose Dec. 8th because that is the last day that I made a sale from this site.

I have had 262 visits to the site since Dec. 8th, (no sales)

I use mostly SEO articles for marketing, I do have a pathetic little PPC campaign running right now. I have received only 31 hits out of 22,000 impressions from my PPC (told you it was pathetic, still have a lot to learn about PPC)

I have been using mostly long tailed keywords in my articles.

I think I am going to remove two of the products from the page and narrow down the choice.

I have another question for all of you. Since this is a review site for affiliate products doesn't it follow different rules than a sale page?

I am trying to do a pre-sale to get people to the main sales page right? I was under the understanding that with review sites you don't want a salesy pitch but you want an honest review of the product to get people to click to the sales page.

The sales page should then do the closing for you or am I missing something? I can be a little dense sometimes so don't be afraid to point it out.

      Thanks again

      Lucinda

The headline is not strong but it may not even be the problem. Your headline of "Discover the most effective way to get your ex back.... before they end up with someone else!" - try doing some split testing with a change in that headline.

Also, the rest of the copy did not really sell me. For example, are you going to give the buyer 5 key resources to assist you in getting your Ex back or perhaps 3 changes to make immediately that will get the ex back in the door?

Is that something that you have discovered that is secret weapons to regain your ex?

Those are just are examples of course but perhaps it gives you ideas. Hope this helps a bit.

Lucinda, I think these sites work best with a softer sell. I'm glad you plan to restructure the site because it just feels too spammy to me. Doug's suggestions are pure gold.
