Istockphoto - Right Choice?

Hope this is in the right section :0

I recently started my new website about a week ago. I'm trying to do everything right this time, and all the pictures I use for my blog post, I buy from istockphoto, usually the xsmall. I know this is going to add up real quick soon. Am I making a mistake? Do a lot of people just post pictures that aren't theirs and get away with it, or am I making the right choice by buying all my photos off istock?

Any feedback would be great!

    There are many places where you can get images for free,search for royalty free images in Google,one place that is good is this site
    lots of images there to choose from.

    I have an account with istock but I find that shutterstock actually works out cheaper for me. Plus I don't really care for istocks credit system.
