Best books for writing web copy?

Hello. I'm a freelance writer who usually writes for printed publications, but I was curious to see if anyone had any good suggestions about writing for the web. I know that there are subtleties that can make all the difference between the two and I'm trying to transition smoothly. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Personally I found this book pretty useful

You might want to check out some of the books suggested in this thread - http://www.warriorforum.com/copywrit...ks-ever-2.html around a similar topic.

I've only seen some videos by Ted Nicholas, but I think he's pretty great. I'm guessing his books will be too. You can check that out as well.

    All the best!

Cashvertising, cashvertising, cashvertising. I constantly refer to that book for my anything that deals with writing, whether it's salespages or inbetween pages or articles. It's highly effective and good for both on and offline businesses. It's by Drew Whitman I believe. The man is a genius...

It's a great book from a copywriting perspective and a fun read too.

I just ordered some copywriting books and have really been enjoying them so far... a lot of great information laid out in a way that is easy to understand and they really seem to be helping me a lot.

    I bought:

Web Copy That Sells - Maria Veloso
    Cashvertising - Drew Eric Whitman
Secret Formulas of the Wizard of Ads - Roy H. Williams
The Ultimate sales Letter - Dan Kennedy
    Influence - Robert B. Cialdini

They have all been amazing. Web Copy That Sells is a great primer for understanding copywriting. If you are new to copywriting, it will really help you understand it. Cashvertising is amazing! It is an information packed book with tons of tips and strategies... I would not suggest skipping it. I can't speak highly enough of it.

Currently deciding what to order next. Also, if you want physical books, I found all but Cashvertising for around $3 each at betterworldbooks.com used.

Amanda, those are all good books.

If you're looking to buy another...I would suggest "Letters That Sell"...it's a great read.

It's one of those books you'll keep handy to read over and over again.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll look into it for after I finish up with Rich Dad, Poor Dad.

I just looked through the sticky and ready through the pages, taking notes of books mentioned a lot and spoken very highly of.
