call to action ideas wanted

Hi,

I'm creating a pull-up banner for shows and expos for my hair salon, and need an amazing call to action...for viewers to talk to us, call us, see our website etc...and become our clients.
our slogan is "look and feel fabulous...guaranteed" which is at the top of the banner...but what's a great call to action?

also, any other awesome, hair related, calls to action that i can put on our website to convert traffic into customers.

"Get into a hairy situation — call us now!"
"Give us a call — we're 'hair' for you!"
"Hop onto our website and comb through our info"

... for the love of hairspray, please don't use any of the suggestions above

Do you have any offers or enticements to give them a reason to call you/go to your site? Some sort of deal or unique offering? I'd start there.

Pick an offer, give them a deadline.

"[time frame] left for you to get [offer]"

Make the time frame short so they feel they have to do it quickly, make the offer simple and something they can sink their teeth into. Something concrete.

Instead of pinching time, you can pinch supply.

"Only [#of times your offer is available] left!"

Those are two ideas to tamper with. Test them against each other and play around with offers. You're making them fabulous, that's great! Make your offer something that does just that.

        Everyone...THANK YOU :-)
        Your creativity is an inspiration.

As for a special offer, we love running competitions (rather than offering discounts)

For the purpose of our pull-up banner the competition will be to win a $200 Curl Up N Dye voucher

Our competition in October/November is to win a weekend by the sea (in NZ a holiday home is called a batch...so win a weekend at the batch)

        Any further ideas?
I am truly in awe of the help you've given me so far, thank you again

I'd just offer a good promotional deal. Get people into your salon with a discount and if they like it, they'll come back and/or tell their friends about you.

You could also maybe try promotional events, such as hairstyling/makeover demos, though these are obviously a bigger expense.

Maybe simply offering a discount or an upgrade if they "click here now" would work?

If you want my advice... I'd say don't get too clever.

"Make an appointment by [date] and you could win $200 worth of [whatever the hell that voucher is for]!"

Then have your phone number/website in big font.

    Simple? Yes. Effective? Probably.

If you have a killer offer, communicate it clearly. Don't obscure it with cutesy headlines and clever slogans.

Hair has to do with being and feeling attractive. This, like the primary motivation of most life's actions and necessities, is strictly sexual.

And so here's some revolutionary psychology you can use for your ad. Without thinking, men will respond to a missed opportunity to mate. I would structure my ad to conjure up the feeling and excite the hard-wired genetic programming within your audience not to miss any opportunity to mate!

    Thus:

Imagery of a beautiful woman walking away, or ignoring a man due to his obvious lack of hair is your new control. Words like, "lose your shot," or "another one gone" is subliminally suggestive towards sex, impotence and loss of virility (symbolized by hair loss) and not missing a mating opportunity.

You'll want to emphasize the pain, and suggest the solution. Ordo ab Chao, Order out of chaos right?

Create the problem, suggest your solution.

You know it's a hair salon, right?

As in... a place where people who already have hair go to get it cut/styled?

A hair replacement clinic is something else entirely.

Would have been a good idea for one though.

Whoops! Your right, it's a hair salon. =P

In that case, you need to feature an ad where someone's hair cut looks like the tip of a mushroom, with the stylist licking her lips gazing down at his supreme dew.... =P

Come up with a special offer 2 for 1, or free something with style, or bring a friend and get half price....and create urgency (scarcity) by offering a time deadline, or a 1st 100 customers only or such.

Another way to go is to have a free offer they can get by email...

example: 50% off Coupons available just for trying us! & website or email.

On the website, they must opt in to your e newsletter to get the coupons..the e newsletter includes weekly (or monthly) hair care tips, hair style ideas, and current specials..one special could be "bring a friend and get half price" and such.

    Hope this helps.
