  • ... but take care of becoming un-focused or entering into multi-tasking self-lies sort of...

    Just mine 2 cents.
  • It's a rare person who can devote him or herself to two significant copywriting projects at the same time.

Most will devote something less than 100% to both rather than 100% to one.

When you need a break, do something you enjoy.

  • My technique is magical!

Quite simply, I write out the end goal as though it's already been achieved in as much detail as possible. Try to keep it under 27 words though. I keep that card with me at all times during the project... at ALL times. And I read it excessively. It's like a compass with the heading always pointed towards the goal.

Personally, it's my irrefutably effective 'trick' to focusing my easily diffused energies. It's not hocus-pocus, it's all about focus.

  • Work in the morning, dream in the evening.

I find compartmentalizing my workload into different cognitive demands can keep me focused on a single project while using different mental tools.

Sometimes I'll just write. I'll free-write and edit the banter afterwards. Other times I'll brainstorm. . . New attack angles, new triggers etc.

It's like if you were to study french and then spanish one right after the other in the same day. You're not changing it up enough so it'll all feel the same. Also, it causes interference in your head that impairs you from doing either one the best.

English vs math, though. . . That's a diff story.

So sometimes I divide it up -- grunt work at one point, conceptualizing for the other.

It helps when it comes to sticking to one project for longer.
