Attention direct response copy wordsmith
Dear veteran direct response copy wizard,
The time has come for me to reach out to the community to see if there is a direct response copywriter match for my motorcycle clothing prodcut. Let's get some basics out of the way quickly, so that neither you nor I waste each others time:
· I am expecting to pay for the privilege of working with a great copywriter. I'm not looking for a deal, I'm looking for the best. As such I have a budget of $5k+.
· I don't expect you to turn this project around in a couple of days or even weeks. It will take you time to fit me into your schedule, and for you to do your research to get up to speed. I'm looking for this project to be delivered in stages with the final deadline being around March 2012.
· I am expecting a significant investment of my time, so as to ensure we develop compelling copy as a team. As I don't claim to know what works with DR, you will have lots of free reign to "do your thing".
Details:
I have spent the last year and a half developing a physical product for the motorcycle clothing market. I have identified a gap in the market, and have developed a product to fill that gap, and plan to dominate it. This is a niche that currently isn't being serviced, and therefore needs to be dealt with properly. For the sake of initial contact, that is as much information as I'm willing to divulge here. You will of course have full access in preceding communications.
I require a direct response copy writer to help me with my entire direct response marketing campaign, including;
· Lead Gen ads for print
· Lead Gen banner ads
· 3 letter sales sequence mailing (a la Dan Kennedy)
· Recorded message script
· Follow up emails
· Website copy
You will be a results driven copywriter, with experience writing direct response ads, and letters. You will crave a challenge, and be willing to stake your reputation on your ability to convert. You will be just as picky about the clients you choose to work with, as I am with the copywriter I will choose to work with. It isn't essential that you're a biker, but certainly would be a bonus. In return, I will offer you generous compensation in the form of a fee, and % of sales.
My thoughts (if you care); As much as I appreciate copywriting as a valuable skill/tool, I don't think it is something that can be picked up over a weekend. My time can be spent more valuably elsewhere. This is why I'm not willing to try to save a few bucks and try and go it myself (lucky for you). I see the copy for my business as the single most important factor which will lead to my inevitable success (Cocky? No. Confident yes - ok maybe a little cocky). Yes, I have a kick ass premium product that will sell like gang busters, if offered to the right crowd in the right way. I have no doubt that my product, and post sales service will more than satisfy the intelligent person who decides to buy it, but that is where I need the help. I need a copywriter to help me get the attention of my future customers, and compel them to part with their money. If this is something you can help me with, please get in touch.
Further, I am a passionate entrepreneur that sincerely believes in the product I've developed. So much so, that I'm willing to stake a huge amount of money to make this work. I have an 8 month old daughter, and my wife told me hours ago that we're expecting our second (WOOHOO). If you're a dishonest lowlife, or someone looking to take advantage of someone else's dreams, please apply elsewhere.
