I use SnapzProX (NOT an affiliate link) every day for screen capture of video and stills. Costs $69. Makes a Quicktime H264 file - the industry standard. See my sig? That was made with it using the "drop shadow" function.

    Hi "Quality Copywriter",

I'm using Camtasia Studio and Camtasia:mac by TechSmith and it's widely use in the IM industry by very reputable Internet Marketers to create videos. It has plugins that works with MS Powerpoint and many other features.

The price is about 300$ but you can test it and finalize your project within 30 days for free since there is a full featured 30 day trial of the product available. I use it myself all the time for my multiple niche marketing projects and never had a problem with high quality results in audio recording, screen recording, webcam recording and full featured video editing.

I would also consider Jing as "The Copy Nazi" mentioned. It is from the same company that build Camtasia Studio (TechSmith) and you can download a free version where you can create 5 minutes SWF files of screen recording or you can also buy Jing Pro for only 14.95$/year and not be limited to 5 minutes and do screen recording and Webcam recording in SWF and MPEG-4 format.

    Cheers!

I think you could try Camtasia used together with Microsoft Power Point.

If not mistaken, Camtasia allows a free trial version and if you're doing one sales letter video it should be fine.

Camtasia allows you to take screen capture of your desktop (meaning it records anything on your screen) so all you have to do is record your powerpoint presentation and speak into it. You can later edit your video by adding music and so forth

If you are on PC, then Movie Maker is excellent choice for a free software. It comes preinstalled and you can add text, music, video, effects etc. You can also share your video right from Movie Maker.

If you need capture images from a webpage or your computer you can use a Firefox add-on Pixlr Grabber or a free software Jing.

Camstudio is a free brother of Camstasia for screen capture. Quality in my opinion not as good as in Camtasia. Camtasia is really good and I strongly recommend it. Use their free trial to see if you like it.

I find sometimes the voice of the person doing the sales letter has to be good too, sometimes they sound like they were recorded from laptops and it just puts me off. I guess fiverr would be a good place to find good recordings.
