Split-Test Software: Which ones help you sell more?

Hello, fellow copy-monkeys.

Just wondered which split/A-B testing software you guys use?

How would you rate them in terms of function, analysis etc?

Thanks for your comments

Lately I've been using Visual Website Optimizer and it kicks ass. I'll tell you why in a minute.

I used to use Google's Website Optimizer but we are now using a templating system that pulls different content depending on certain factors into the same URL with different URL parameters.

You can't really do this with Google as you need different URLs.

VWO has a wildcard feature that lets me do this.

VWO also let's you edit pages realtime with an AJAX based UI. You can quickly change any non-graphical elements. So copy changes can be done in a matter of seconds.

VWO support and documentation are...okay and there is a small learning curve, but now that I have the tool figured out I think it's great. It has already saved and made us plenty to justify the $139 price tag.

If you have a smaller operation and do all your changes yourself and don't use a templating system or dynamic content you're probably fine with free tools like Google.

    Good luck.

I don't use any. I just test, gather raw data, and tweak as necessary to see what happens.

If you use wordpress split test dynamo is a handy plugin that is great at instantly allowing you to replicate a page an make a single change to it to test with no coding or anything.

If not using wordpress then CPV labs is good. It allows very complex sales funnel testing with the ability to test a whole bunch of variables and rotate a ton of stuff.

An issue for me was tracking conversions that were not on hosted on your website (like a dynamically generated page for security or by some digital product providers) - both the above mentioned software allow for conversions tracking on a domain that is or isn't hosted by you.
