Please give a chance to newbie writers to prove themselves

Usually opportunities to known writers are wide. Obviously it is because they have proven themselves but why not give a chance to new writers to prove themselves too. Have you known a site that give chance to new writers?
To all warrior forum members out there, can you open an opportunity to a new writer like me?

    No offense, but most of the experienced copywriters on this forum and others had to find the opportunities and use them to prove our skills. No one just gave us the chance -- unless it was because we were writing cheap copy.

    There's practically an unlimited need for copywriting. All it takes is using your marketing skills to find them. Anytime a copywriter ask where to find work, it's just the tip of a bigger iceberg. That iceberg is called a lack of marketing skills.

    Because if you know how to market yourself then you will recognize opportunities -- and even how to create opportunities for yourself. If you know how to market yourself then you'll know how you want to position your business besides just on price or name recognition.

    One of the most popular ways that new copywriters get started is with the Warrior Special Offers board here. For $20 you can run a special writing/copywriting offer that will get you some targeted attention.

    I ran my first copywriting WSO 2 years for $200 or $250 sales letter rewrites. I don't remember the exact amount but it was really low. It was just one of MANY client attraction methods that I've used and as I produced hits for my clients and developed stronger skills, I raised my rates. I've been a full-time copywriter for almost 2 years now and charge a lot more than I did when I started out. If I can do it then I believe any other writer can do it IF they are willing to put in the work to build their business.

      If you can't "find an opportunity".. Then I agree with Mike... Create one! You need to start writing for people so you can build a portfolio of projects so you become a more reputable copywriter.. I say do copy/ or a rewrite for free or for very cheap to build your client base up.. Youll gain experience.. Youll grow a portfolio.. And youll grow your client base.. And if you do a good job your clients will come back and they will recommend people to you..

    The entire Internet is a known site that gives a chance to new writers.

    Why oh why would anyone pay anyone else to not know that?

    Read, study, practice, earn, study, practice, earn more, repeat. There are no short cuts. We all make it on our own. Which is not to say that no one will help you, but it is to say that begging for a break is 180º from where you'll find that leg up.

      Hello friends,
      Thanks a lot for your time and advice. You are right its up to individual's strategy. I am not totally new in article/copywriting. I am doing this for about 4 months from now and I see myself improving every now and then. offended? no I'm not. Getting a constructive criticism is a way for better improvement.
