there's a few things i can quickly list down. your call to action buttons, "Buy Now" are too small and they blend into the page. they need to be much larger and contrast with the background of the webpage. the highlights (checkmarked statements) should be a larger and bold font, those are pretty much your selling points for that ebook.

the top of the page with the red/blue font...it looks too plain. keep in mind this will be the first thing potential buyers will see. its very ordinary and i feel as if it doesnt pull in the reader to keep scrolling down...maybe the pictures, but then again you only have 3 unique pictures posted. the colors don't mix. try and use this page to help you blend colors a little bit better:

    colorschemedesigner dot com

also watch when you enlarge some pictures or buttons...based on your compression, it will look pixelated as seen on the larger "Buy Now" button located before your 60 day guarantee seal.

all in all, its not a bad start, but as it sits, it looks amateurish and definitely is in need of a some sprucing up. please dont take my criticisms to heart, its all constructive and if you do need another set of eyes to take a look at future revisions, let me know.

mainly the red and blue text at the top. too much contrast there.

im not a big fan of the blended blue text...maybe swap the color if you want to keep that effect? usually a solid color is alright. just gotta make it easier on the eyes to keep the reader interested.

ah, and also highlight your testimonials a little bit better...make them stand out. people like to see that other people have tried it and had success or enjoyed the product. if you do have it, put their picture on there also....put a face to the name and the comment.

noted. the problem is the free theme i am using....dont seem to be able to customize/make the points bigger...can you recommend a afforable theme?

i usually just grab a theme off of themeforest dot net. something that emits the mood or the emotion you're trying to convey with the ebook youre selling. i rarely ever use free themes...theyre too easily accessible. i know they can be customized, but if everyone has access to them, i feel like that same format becomes too repetitive. the main thing is to stand out, as you probably already know.

why be nasty? i pretty much did what I said, maybe it wasnt totally 'life or death' but I did get the results and others too! One thing that sets me apart is I am really good at explaining things in a systematic way.

Your headline is too abstract. It could be lifted and used
on another letter for the same niche.

There is no news in your headline.

Is your headline believable? I don't think so.
    Add a proof element.

Your breakthrough of how you made your discovery is too quick.

Your bullets have no "WTF is the answer to this reaction?"

    Overall you lack proof.

      You've got 4 sales killers...

      here they are...

1 Headline is awkward, "Exposes Secrets Techniques Shows You..."

2 First image is of a "cold" woman makes it a turn off

3 Order buttons are red which are warning sign, not a buy one

4 Calling it an E Book is as exciting as flat beer.

You've got some major work ahead, those 4
plus what Mark Pocock said about more proof will steer
      you in the right direction.

        Couldn't help myself...

I knew there was a much better headline and lead in,
        so I wrote it

And some lessons on what's going on behind the scenes.

Plus it's a bit of fun!

Think in terms of what your ideal target reader is going to get
which matches his best outrageous dream.

Next you back it up with proof.
An under utilized form of proof is being specific
in terms of numbers and time lines.

Another part of the headline is knocking out
an objection in the readers mind,
but you do need to follow up with proof to make the headline believable.

Use strong action words to move the reader.

OK that's the little lesson, here's how it's played out,
in a fun way to illustrate what I mean...

        -------------------------------------------------------------------
        "Gets The Horniest, Hottest Courgars...
Even If You Are A Virgin..."

Ruthlessly tested by 31, 21 to 29 year old male virgins.

40% got wild sex their first night out...

60% got wild sex their second night out...

80% got wild sex their third night out.

The other 20% didn't follow dead simple instructions,
so they went home to Mr Palm.er!
        --------------------------------------------------------------------

        Enjoy!

not sure why the dude is getting such hate from some of you guys... hint hint Loren Woirhaye.... its a marketing forum, thats his niche, he's asking for help.

pretty pathetic to be so judgmental.

    Anywhoo... scanned through the page...

    its a train wreck.

    the copy sucks balls.

    the whole thing sounds phony.

    no proof whatsoever.

    no social proof whatsoever either.

No clue on how 'in demand' info is for that sub niche... but the copy won't get you many buyers as is. Unless you're somehow planning on channelling carlton, bencivenga, or the sh!tweasel himself... your best bet is to hire a real pro with experience selling to that niche or to that prospect.

Pathetic, eh? No morality required... feel free to sell anything you want.

How about if somebody sells an e-book with detailed instructions on how to commit the perfect murder... would that be okay too?

My guess is that you have a moral code... you just draw the line in a different place.

Lol I'm sure your sense of morality is poorly developed. Just because you don't personally like something...doesn't mean that it's morally wrong...it just means that YOU don't like it.

The OP isn't selling anything that is even remotely questionable, so reserve your personal tastes to yourself.

That's cute. You fail to understand that the whole concept of "god" is an antiquated social construct that has no place in today's world, where science and reason have been the catalyst for what little social, economic, and technological progress we've had over the past few centuries. According to the rules here, we can't have a political, philosophical, or personal debate here. But let me assure you, it's not a conversation you want to have with me...I'll only make you question everything you believe to be your world...and with good reason.

It appears to be that your morality is clearly governed by your background, upbringing, personal bias, and shallow feelings...not by tempered reason or a comprehensive education. While I admire that you at least have a sense of morality (albeit misguided), I'm disgusted that you had to bring your personal feelings into an area where they're not wanted or needed.

The OP wanted marketing advice. You provided personal judgement. This is NOT the place for it.

TheRealDudeMan nailed it.Morality has no place in copywriting. There are purists out there who would consider pushing buttons on your prospects i.e. MANIPULATING their fears, hopes and dreams to your benefit (you know, the stuff any sales letter worth it's salt is comprised of) highly immoral.

Getting back on topic, Cougars and the younger male
          they are attracted to.

Out of the blue today I met the daughter of a Cougar.

I told her about a guy I know of who has written a book about
how guys can hook up with them.

She has a younger guy too, so she's an early starter.

So I got an insight why women go for these toy boys.

Her mother asked her to travel a few hours to go out hunting for
her new toy boy. She's over her 26 year old. She is in her early 50's
great shape, fit and a boob job and is on the prowl for another.

She wants a young guy that has sexual staying power,
isn't a bad boy type, is cute and in a way, needs mothering,
but not a total mummy's boy.
She wants him to think she's hot and gives compliments to
          raise her self esteem.

The cougar's daughter is in her early thirties and has a 19 year old as a boyfriend,
only 2 years older than her daughter. She also likes the idea of doing things for him
and mold him into her vision of a man, while also lifting her self esteem.

There's an interesting statistic that it's the women in their 50's
who initiate divorce more than men by a wide margin.
Husbands get so stuck in their ways which totally bores women.
Then you have a huge book buyer segment that's politely called romance novels,
or more correctly should be labelled soft women's porn which verifies how many women
desire a man to take them away from the ordinary.

Another statistic, maybe surprising to many,
is how few orgasm's a woman has, even in a long term relationship.

This all adds up to a market, bigger than many think,
for males to enter into the mating game.

Over and out from sex researcher,
          Ewen!

Of course it does. You'd be surprised how many copywriters refuse to write copy for gambling, porn, and other shady niches.

Although I don't believe in hell, I like this John Carlton quote, because it expresses his moral line:

"I state emphatically that I hope anyone taking the advice I offer and using it for unethical purposes… rots in Hell."

In a civilized society, it's incumbent upon each copywriter to adopt and stick to a moral code.

I'll try to make just a couple of constructive points.

This is the first real example you give of the sort of insights your book will give:

'For example do you know HOW calling an older woman a ’milf’ or ’cougar’ can actually HARM your chances with her?'

If a reader thinks that's the sort of advice they'll be getting they won't buy.

This is the evidence you used for your studies:

'Yes, I sat 5 cougar woman down and interviewed them about what they like in a younger guy – what attracts them and how you can improve your chances!'

Five women interviewed doesn't scream 'expert'.

Here's the final word, because I'm about to ignore the mods and give you a chewing.

      (1) The OP didn't lie.
      (2) He's not selling anything morally reprehensible. YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE THE FAINTEST IDEA WHAT IS MORALLY REPREHENSIBLE.
      (3) If promiscuous sex is morally incomprehensible, then you are both naive and extremely ignorant to not only human nature, but to the realities of the world.

We're done here. Read some books and learn something other than your ignorant biases.

OP-I'm not a copywriter, and only looked at your site for about 3.145 seconds, but I can already point out a couple of errors that will prevent you from having any success with the program:

    1. Your product is called "Cougar Killer"... Really? Come up with a new title, maybe one that doesn't make it sound like the name Fox News would give to a serial killer who targets older women.

    2. You couldn't even be bothered to correct the spelling of your main headline... are you serious? "Deadly 4 step system exposes secrets techniques showing you how...." In that context the word is secret. Singular. If you aren't even willing to read over your own headline once, you are not going to be very successful selling anything.

I didn't read the copy, i'm browsing from work today and feel pretty sure visiting Cougar Dating sites might not be approved of

My point was to be more engaged in the 'morality discussion' than in the feedback on the copy... which if the copy is really that bad, shouldn't the feedback be more constructive and engaging than if his copy were perfect?

Still, i did pick up some useful general tips from the feedback.

I'm gonna say a couple things regarding the moral debate:

Christians, there's a whole principle in the faith about not judging.

Atheists and otherwise - you get incensed if someone with faith unloads about their beliefs but have no qualms about trying to force your own point?

This is a debate that will never be won. You believe what you believe just as I believe what I believe. This thread is not the place for you to duke it out.

OP - Ewen had stellar advice that you should start digging into. Most older women who desire younger lovers are doing it for their own unique combo of wanting sexual stamina/emotional validation/a feeling of molding a kid into a better man. Don't let your secrets get lame - any young man pursuing a cougar will find out how much they dislike being called cougar within five seconds of entering the game. I'm pretty sure anyone remotely intelligent will learn that lesson the first time he approaches a woman and calls her some term she dislikes. You need better secrets, man.

      Thanks Angie.

Just passing on the words from the mouth of the daughter of one.

It was the daughter who called her mother a Cougar.

I asked her what she had planned for the weekend and said
her mother wants her to drive to Tauranga, a couple of hours drive,
to go out looking for a young guy with her. That's when she said "she's a real Cougar".
The conversation just flowed on from there.

I do see however calling the woman one, in the wrong context,
      not appreciated by her.

      Best,
      Ewen

It's an absolutely true point, though. I've been hit on by kids who couldn't have been more than 20. A few have made the mistake of calling me a cougar. Ummm OK kid...I'm not even remotely close to being a cougar.

I don't imagine actual cougars like the label either, and those who do...well, that's an entirely different set of issues.

Ewen's usually on point with great advice... but every once in a while.... lol :-)

lol... videolover7... stop... you're starting to make a fool of yourself and i'm sure you're a nice guy.

you just quoted carlton and "his line of morals"

BUT you probably had no clue he wrote and consulted with eben a bunch on his double your dating stuff....

have you read the sales letters? (no).

your view of morals is very different from others pal.

The first people who whine and complain are always Bible-thumpers, who are supposed to be non-judgmental.

Dude... read more carefully next time. As I clearly stated, I admire the fact that he states his moral line. That was all.

You're missing the point. As everyone has already pointed out, this is not the place to discuss morality. The OP didn't ask for opinions on if the product or sales page fell in line with your religious views, yet you openly insulted him because your values are different than his.

Again, no one here asked for, or frankly, cares about your opinion on the subject at all, so take your judgmental attitude somewhere else.

Yep, that sums it up. Thanks for stating it so eloquently.

Personally, I find it refreshing that someone here had the courage to say it.

I believe in free markets. In order to have workable free markets, you need an educated populace. In order to have an educated populace, you have to have open discussion.

So, no, not everyone here doesn't care about VL's opinion. It is a valid opinion and certainly germane to the discussion.

If you don't like it, defend your stance with logic, not silly anti-religious drivel.
How do you know he's lying?

videolover... lets put it this way regarding morals... I never did an **** berry offer.

but all kidding aside... whats the big deal about guys who want to sleep with women?

    Thats NORMAL.

As long as you're not being deceptive and being honest in order to do so, whats the problem?

And c'mon... You can't tell me that selling IM crap is better than meeting women programs? so where's the morals there?

I can go thru the WSO forum and 99.99999% of the stuff there is pure garbage.

Sidenote: I WAS turned down by a 'big' IM copywriter... his wife wouldn't let him work on my stuff (although he did write some "black hat" blind copy for some *VERY* questionable offers). Totally respect the guys decision, but it made no sense to me.

Promiscuous sexual behavior results in proven, detrimental physical and psychological effects.

I agree. To me, selling IM "magic bullets" is also unconscionable.
