Can you think of common examples (preferably something that most people have done and can relate to) of when you take a shortcut with something, then it falls apart, you regret it, and you wish you had done things right the first time?

Thanks!

Buying cheap tools and having them break when you can least afford the time

    Not getting the warranty...

    Not getting comprehensive auto coverage...

    Not wearing a condom...

    Pulling your dad's finger...

    Saying, "I do"

Yes, I can, actually. It's "following directions."

Buying cheap copy (or even worse, content) that inevitably fails and makes me feel like my dreams of financial freedom are further away than ever.

    Man...

I wish I could go back and hire that copywriter who can actually convert!

It seems like every year, here in Oregon, somebody tries to take a shortcut with their car in the middle of winter.

They are almost always from out of state and often relying on a gps.

They will go down a seldom used road till they get stuck in the snow. They'll hang around the car for a few days and then somebody will go looking for help.

But that person will get lost or freeze to death.

Usually the people that stayed with the car make it out alive, if not shaken.

A common shortcut is trying to do something the easy way and then realizing that the original way would have been much more simple, folks are always trying to re invent the wheel, just do what works! Consistency is the key to live the life of luxury.
