BEST books or courses for learning how to write killer sales copy?

I understand that the main skill that you need to master if you want to make killer profits online is the skill of writing highly effective and converting sale copy.

So I'm looking for some great books out there but I'd like to narrow my education down to about 3 or so books or courses. Below are the books I was thinking of checking out, but I was wondering if someone could recommend one that you've personally read or a course you've gone through that really impacted you and pretty much gave you the meat and potatoes of what you now implement into your sales letter, squeeze page, and email marketing strategies.

Thanks in advance.

These are the books I was considering checking out

The Ultimate Sales Letter: Attract New Customers. Boost your Sales. by Dan S. Kennedy

The Irresistible Offer: How to Sell Your Product or Service in 3 Seconds or Less by Mark Joyner

The Architecture of Persuasion: How to Write Well-Constructed Sales Letters by Michael Masterson

Does anyone recommend these? Or are is there an amazing effective online copywriting course or product anyone recommends?

The worst thing you can do is leave this discussion open as you'll get umpteen recommendations from umpteen people. Then you might as will just look at the top thread on this sub-forum.

You've chosen three. Now get them and work with them.

Seriously. It's the best answer I can give you.

How'd you come up with the number 3? Why not 1... or 7?

Those are great books - I've read all three.

There is a sticky post at the top of this forum with a list of all the great copywriting books. There are no short cuts. If you want to be a good marketer you must read everything you can get your hands on, then read them again - and mostly ----- PRACTICE - get your copy out in front of the people who will make a decision based on your copy. Don't over think what you're doing but let the market tell you what works.

Jason Fladlien has a great course, around $37 on Copywriting - stopwatch copywriting - it's a good start - better than any one or three books

        AWAI - lots of courses - awaionline.com
        Dan Kennedy
        Brian Keith Voiles
Lots of other copywriters offer courses - keep looking

Remember - there are no shortcuts...ml

One thing you can do is... Get about $250 to $500 together, go to eBay, and get as many as you can for as cheap as you can. Then read for an hour per day for 4 years.

Well, there are lots of instructional books and courses and
some of them are exquisite. Most are repetitive, but if you
think like a musician or an athlete you appreciate the
value of repetition in the pursuit of excellence.

well, since copywriting is simply salesmanship that's multiplied, it helps to learn how
    to sell.

2 of the most obsure but helpful books i've ever read:

    1. Obvious Adams
    2. How to Sell Anything by Harry Browne.

sure, not the sexiest books... but they show you how to sell more than some of the courses i've paid thousands for...

Two more more suggestions for the obscure, classic, yet very informative books list:

"How I Raised Myself from Failure to Success in Selling" by Frank Bettger

and if you really want to go deep, read "Breakthrough Advertising" by Eugene Schwartz.

Truly understanding what makes buyers tick is crucial, and the books listed here and by Shawn provide some of the clearest foundational insights. After reading these relatively short books, then you'll probably get a lot more out of the books on your list (which are all good, by the way).

Great call, Steve.... the Frank Bettger book was another of my faves! Once you understand and learn what makes people tick... and buy... then it makes all the other copywriting books and training so much applicable... because then you can SEE how, when, and WHY you're using those methods.

Not directly related to writing copy, but I thought Influence by Robert Cialdini gives some great insights into how the customer's mind works and explains why things like free bonuses, 30 day trials, and other selling tricks work so well.
