Tap Into The Emotions

When you write your copy you have to be sure to tap into your readers emotions, I wanted to stop in and drop some of the basic emotions that people experience often.

1. Happiness
2. Disgust
3. Fear
4. Anger
5. Surprise
6. Sadness

Now these are not the only emotions under the sun, however they are some of the main emotions that people go through normally. Please feel free to add emotions that you think people experience when they are about to spend their money.

Guilt is one of my favorites when it comes to copy / marketing connected to buying.

Not to make the reader feel guilty, do the reverse, alleviate their guilt because most people who buy stuff know they don´t need it and should be svaing the money for their kids college.

If you understand guilt, and tap into it discretely, you are halfway to a sale.
Ugly, but true - in my book anyway :p

When it comes to hardcore, ruthless marketing ...you can't beat fear. Make a problem stand out, and offer the solution.

People fear loss much more than they desire actual success.

As long as you don't create the problem ...it's completely ethical to present the solution, in my own opinion.

    Cheers!

    Fear
    Greed
    Avoidance of pain

I like to write my copy using those three angles.
