Big Al Schreiter Interview

Tom 'Big Al' Schreiter teaches that the subconscious makes the buying decision within the first 30 seconds.

In the interview, he gives this example. One statement appeals to the logical mind and the other to the subconscious:
You should take anti-oxidants because they’re essential for fighting cancer and staying healthy.

There are two kinds of people in the world. Those who take anti-oxidants now and those who take chemotherapy later.

  • Actually, there are three types of people in the world.

Those who can count and those who can't.

    • There's already 10,000 comedians out of work... don't quit your day job.

  • Isn't this the same as talking to the Dominant Emotion the prospect has?

Good Interview though, a good perspective.

    • Yes, my thoughts exactly. Just another way of saying it.

I especially like the way Schreiter's example uses contrast to stoke the dominant emotion.

Has me thinking something like that might work good as a headline in the right circumstances.

  • The word is never used in academic or scientific circles. So, when I hear someone say the word I'm clueless as to what they are talking about or mean. Are they saying there is a layer between the conscious an unconscious mind? (There isn't.) Try to remove this word from your vocabulary unless of course you're writing some B.S. sales letter for "new age mind warriors."
