Email Series- HTML or not?
I started way back in 2005 using an autoresponder and remember having a choice of using HTML or plain text for your email series. I've been out of the business for a few years now and know that things have changed since I fooled around with it. I'm bored to death right now and am going to get back into email marketing and could use a little help.
So, my question is which format is better for your email series?
I still receive a lot of emails in pure text format about 72 chars per line. But lately I am getting emails that look like mini webpages. I have a slow internet connection and do not display any images in me emails and figure if I do that, that others do it too.
Also, with all these smart phones around, I would think that the text format would be better.
And no, I don't have a smart phone. In fact, I just got a regular cell phone a few months back from AARP that sits in my glove box for emergency purposes.
