Boom- Just closed a new copywriting client here in Lost Angels minutes before he was leaving for the weekend. Said he was meaning to call me and I actually believe him. Follow up on your direct mail sales letters. Call them. Never give up.

  • Congrats! And absolutely. So many times folks figure if they don't hear back from an email query or mailer, then it's a no-go...when a simple follow-up will do wonders!

    • Yes some people do give up, but the follow up is a part of the deal when you can do it personally. I would dare to say that if the prospect knows that you can contact him, even if he likes the letter he will probably have questions to ask and will only be waiting on your call.

  • Nice! One of the earliest things I learned in marketing is that one is the worst number. You can't rely on direct mail alone, or email marketing alone, or forum posting alone. You have to hit the prospect multiple times and sometimes through multiple communication channels.
