COPY WRITING

How to boost referrals 25% for the cost of a business card or
How to boost referrals 25% for next to nothing
How to get a new customer for a nickel

The last one gets my attention as a business owner. Nickel = new costumer. I want that. < click >

The other two are the usual ad noise.

I'm sure someone will be along to tell you to test them.

Testing is great, but not always practical.

  The first might only work for a targeted audience (particularly those who see a point in referrals and business cards in the first place).
  
  My opinion leans towards the second one. It feels balanced compared to the other two.

Thanks, man. I like that one best too.

I know testing is the ticket but if 9 out of 10 people like one headline, I'm going with it.

Plus someone else might want to use it too so hopefully its a win win.

The last one. Straightforward and to the point, the first two need some thinking and that is the last thing you want your reader to do.
