How to write a compelling one time offer?

Ok,

I am experimenting with this, what would you say is necessary to write a compelling one time offer? The "deal" I have really is an amazing deal, I just need to know what I need to say to 'convey' that to the potential purchaser, to get them to realize that they should take action right away.

Also, do you have links to any samples on the web of good one time offers (OTO's) that you've seen?

Thanks!

    Johnathan,

A lot of times, an OTO doesn't have to be very long. The benefits just have to be very clear. A has to create situation where they'd have to say "holy crap, I gotta get it right now to complete the package or I'll never get the chance again."

It also needs to play in with what the initial product is. Actually, let me give you a perfect example!

    Howie Shwartz's Water Fire Sale

I bought it just to add his work to my collection and when second page loaded, it was him saying 'oh, I forgot to mention there was a 2nd day to this.' I found myself thinking, "damn, I gotta have this part too to complete the package."

But yeah, another OTO product I help created for a client gets very high conversions. It's barely half a page long. The offer and benefit just has to be clear.

    Hi,

Thanks -- ok, I'm starting to get an idea about that... By the way, read his page, was his information any good? He doesn't "look" the part of a guy who would have a 7-figure empire...

LOL, no, he doesn't "look" the part, but he's fun to watch and he's good at what he does. He reminds of Frank Kern but looks like Alton Brown when he has a beard (like when he's on Iron Chef America).
