In case you missed it the first time, here's one of the greats with some of his best selling ads.

The first one is, reportedly, one of Dan Kennedy's all time favs.

Pay attention to pg 22 or the ATLANTA HOUSEWIFE ad, it was a monster success and shows how a great story can be used to draw in readers.

Nice. Yes that "Atlanta Housewife Investigated and Almost Arrested For Losing 73 Pounds" ad is red hot... and the headline made me smile

There were dozens of versions of promotions selling the Dr. Cooper product but nothing beat the Atlanta Housewife ad. This ad, by itself, is a million dollar SWIPE. After doing all the THINKING on it, Bud wrote it, almost as it is, in less than an hour.

Then he tested relentlessly against it, and almost all produced profits, this was the clear winner for that product.

in Pubs like AARP, where he sold millions of dollars of his book, How to Make Your Computer as Easy to Use as Your Telephone.

A point for new copywriters...if you are not spending a half hour a day at Direct Response Marketing & Everything DR! (Lawrence Bernstein's site)...you are doing yourself a huge dis-service.

          Here is an example:

          The Copywriter’s Sweet Revenge

Which comes off of another excellent page about story telling:

Also, these are just a few of the hundreds of ads ran in dozens of publications over Bud's many years in Direct Response and his Direct Mail letters were just as phenomenal.

Thanks for sharing this. Appreciate it, mate.

I agree about lawrence's site. One of the few copywriting sites I feel I can trust. He definitely knows what he's talking about and his blog posts and products have helped me tremendously!

Side Note: For anyone new, I'd recommend picking up lawrence's "breakthrough copywriting templates" package. It also comes with a swipe file of winning e-mail titles. It's been an invaluable addition to my resources and is inexpensive.

I've bought all his stuff and haven't been disappointed yet.
