Are we becoming film directors?

Empower Network: Commission Loophole

I've seen a few lately. I think there was a thread with one of these. The video was about a guy who made money through the phone by using his fingers when he was in full body cast.

Seems like these very emotional heavy director esque videos are the next stage.

If so, I think most copywriters will finally do what they've always wanted. Right Mr.Subtle?

Clayton Makepeace started out directing conservative
TV talk programs. I heard him say that on a tape
somewhere - it seems to have been very good
preparation for a career in mass market persuasion.

Perhaps... if you consider the rapid proliferation of VSLs for online marketing. Perhaps "script writers" would be closer to the mark than "directors"?

I'm delving deeper into the value of images in the "emotional marketing" venue. From a copywriter's viewpoint we have to acknowledge the marketing impact of verbal imagery - and also the impact of combining that with visual imagery.

I'm just now reading my Kindle edition of "Visual Hammer" by Laura Ries (daughter of Al Ries).
You can see a brief video about it at visualhammer.com

You're right. And copy should ALWAYS and has always been about emotion. I just find it amazing that the next stage is more of a movie, director type format.

I mean, who ever did this probably had to do more than just the voice over script. I'm pretty sure they had to think about the visual imagery to compliment and enhance the overall lead.

Copywriters are script writers AND directors.

If you have a conceptual vision for how a script needs to play out, you have to communicate it to the editor/producer.

I would love to take time out and learn how to create a high-end VSL. If Michael Jordan can play professional basketball and Major League Baseball, I can write a script AND produce it.

Here's a client of mine who finds the story behind women's businesses and produces stunning videos.

      Here's some samples...

Sarcasm because he sucked at mlb? Or legitimate enthusiasm?

Interesting videos shared here. Which prompts me to also share one. This was an email that arrived in my inbox. Normally I never click to view videos but this one started playing as soon as I opened it. The first shot in the video engaged my attention enough to view the whole thing. But overall, I think it is the best relationship marketing video I have seen. Their logo (the apple with an arrow thru it) was well incorporated and the entire presentation, the video, graphics design & all was spot on for their market. It can be seen here:

Avoid Superbugs with EWG's Meat Eater's Guide, Plus Earth Friendly Tips and a Coupon!

Of course, it was sent via the EWG list I have been on for years. (healthy & organic food is my market niche).
