Will Increased Smartphone and Tablet Use Impact Copywriting?

Smartphone and tablet use are on the rise and steadily increasing. I was just wondering if the medium in which the copy is delivered will transform the way in which copy will be written?

    Probably some.

There are differences between direct mail copy and website copy. There are differences between website copy and video copy. And there are differences between video copy and webinar copy.

      True.

One thing that really irks me is when someone starts an online sales page with, "dear friend, my name is so-and-so and I'm a blankety-blank"

That works in direct mail where someone gets a letter in the mail and their frist thought is "who is this from and why should I care."

But online, people's first impression is "where am I and what can I do here?"

        Yes.

Less copy, more images. Work it out.
