From Complete Newb To Competent Writer Perhaps?

Guys,

I've trawled the internet for years trying to make money, had little bits of success but mainly failures. I've been a member of the warrior forum for a while now and still haven't taken any action because i feel like everything is spinning around too fast with people trying to make money from me.

I've decided to come to this section of the forum to see if i can ground myself learn a skill and get good at it, sell my service and go from there, worry about other aspects of internet marketing later once i can generate income from a service im selling first.

As you can see from this post so far i would make a shocking bloody writer, but does anyone know of where i can start with no experience and become a successful article writer who is able to sell his articles and other products?

Any websites, coaches, courses to get me to a decent level?

Thanks in advance to anyone who reads or responds to this post as ive decided to give myself one last shot at trying to make a living online, and want to really dig deep and achieve something

    One of the most important thing is understanding consumer psychology
    I am also a newbie in copywriting, and I feel these books have really helped me grow my knowledge in a short period of time these are not too costly either. You can easily get them on amazon for a measly price

    Sounds like you're more interested in becoming a content writer than a copywriter.

    I have a friend who is a content writer, and the two skills are very different.

      Start writing, and measure your feedback. Buy a couple of books from Amazon, but beyond that don't invest in gurus.

      Experience is the best teacher.

      Start writing for Ezine, and measure your conversions.

      Set up a free blog, and sell aff products, and measure your conversions.

      Gurus can only get you so far. Success, in all forms, basically boils down to the following model:

      1) Choose a SPECIFIC goal (skill level, etc)

      2) Take action

      3) Measure results

      4) Revise accordingly (based on movement toward goal)

      5) Goto Step 2

      Human life is always about taking risks, measuring results, adjusting, and then taking more risks. So long as you're consistently moving toward a fixed target, and you're willing to make mistakes and learn from them, you'll get there.

    I think the best way to go about this is to just create as much stuff as possible. Go for quantity first. Refine the quality along the way.

    Before you start selling articles, write your own. Write about whatever you care about, and post it on your blog.

    This will be your bread-and-butter, and it'll help you improve your basic skills more than anything else. Once you have a "portfolio" of articles that you've written yourself, you can get feedback on what you've written. This is a MUCH better way to learn.

    Once you've started writing regularly (write every day if possible!) and solicit feedback from people, you're on your way to eventually getting good enough to get paid for it.

    Try fiverr, bubblews and other places where you can showcase your writing skills. Upon growing with experience, you will eventually realized that you had gained more and more knowledge about earning via the internet as days passes by.

    There's only one answer.

    If you feel that the noble art of copywriting (or article or content writing) has wired itself into your psyche.

    Don't give up.

    Keep studying (no need to spend a fortune - just buy a few classic books - here's a list...)

    And just write.

    Here's the thing - as you battle through the barriers - typing the words starts to anaesthetize the pain.

    It does get easier the more you do it.
