Headline Hotness is a product of presenting Benefits in a Curious way. Catching a reader’s attention means you’ve Interested him. Now for the matter of gracefully laying out the Benefits while peaking his Curiosity. If done well, he’ll be reading the article next.

One curious thing is that all three psychological aspects must be present. If just one of these elements is absent, the copy will be devastatingly weakened and probably be pronounced dead when read. And remember, . . . predictability kills curiosity!

In other words, if when you read the headline you feel like you could probably predict what the article is likely to say, you will probably move on to the next one.

Remember, when you come upon a headline that pulls on you like an irresistible force, you can be sure you were presented with a benefit that was delivered in a very curious way.
