Help - My Sales Suck Ass!

Hello Warriors.

I need some help. We have been working hard to try and move forward with a new design, but the sales aren't where they need to be.

Can you take a look at my website, and tell me where the problems are?

Can you recommend someone to make this a top notch sales page?

    Well,
Right now, it's mostly just organic, affiliate, and referrer traffic. (Warrior Posts, reviews, ect)

I have been busy on the programing side of this project, and am now switching over to marketing mode.

My first plan is to get an autoresponder series written up, to offer as an exit pop, to keep engaging with the customer.

After this, im thinking of seeking the assistance of a social marketing contractor, to get some marketing done on that end.

We are currently offering this software to our hosting customers as a monthly recurring addon.

And I have setup the newest version to accept Trial License Keys, so I plan to start offering Free (or $1 trials).

Your copy assumes that people know how a membership site can benefit them.

Even for those who do (not everybody does) it's still necessary to dimensionalize the benefits of owning one.

"Recurring monthly subscriptions" and "profit-pulling" are too abstract and not nearly good enough.

Check out the ad copy for successful membership site software (your competition). That will give you some good ideas on how to write the copy.

I'm not a web designer, so to me it looks fine, but I think the headlines, sub-headlines, and the copy can be improved, too wordy in many places.

Here are some loose suggestions ...

I could critique your site but the issue regarding license validation elsewhere on this forum is a killer. It may have been two years ago but with so many other options, why would anyone risk it?

I think you need to directly address it on your site. It looks like you've gone with an unlimited license so I'm guessing the validation is gone as well. If so, make that clear and use it to your advantage. If not, use a stable and established 3rd party validator.

Your problem is you don't have enough benefits, you don't have any demos or screen shots of what the end product can do for them, You aren't answering the question of "why should I use you and not your competitors". Take your competitors head on and show them why your product is better. If you can't do that, you need to figure out a way to make your product stand out.

Also the license pricing is an issue that doesn't get addressed... Especially when you say stuff like this:

Please Note: This is Licensed Software. Your License will be Disabled and the Software becomes Inoperable when refunded.
On the 2nd page. That line alone probably scares away most of your traffic if they even get that far. Take it out and put it in some kind of terms of service agreement. No point telling them that kind of stuff during the sales process.

Agree. No need to state this. Save it for the turkeys who ask for a refund and send it to them in a private email just before issuing the refund. The other 90% of people don't need to hear it.

That was put in because we were getting quite a number of refunds from folks who were buying the software then asking for a refund straight away.

      Definitely see your point though..

      Some brilliant suggestions on here,

The secret to selling any software is demonstration, a free trial if possible. Testimonials and very brief "here's what it does in comparison to (alternatives) " grid helps, but one thing I've found about software is that it's all fantastic until you buy it and start finding out what it can't do and how bloody hard it is to learn and to use.

I'd suggest doing some research on forums using the names of your top competitors. Look for the PROBLEMS users are having with those other solutions. The more complicated and frustrating those problems are, the better. Then, position yourself as the alternative to people who are tired of the issues with the other membership options.

I'm currently looking for membership site and I've seen yours a couple of weeks ago. My first impression is that your site doesn't explain to me NEWBIE what your membership is about. Your popup window scares me away, really. I would appreciate above the fold explanation in pictures and screenshots what benefits I will get and what difference it would made for my business compare to other programs. Your target is newbies because I think pros already know who is who and what is best. Too much colors in my opinion, keep it clean.

Bullet points should be short and bold. Longer explanations below them. 2 pages below the fold and you have nothing but text...you need elements that will draw the reader down the page.

Not sure about that favicon, either.

You might consider changing the word "order" in your navbar to something like "Pricing".

The video is great if the person is already sold on getting a membership site, but unless they know the benefits of having one, they aren't going to buy.

For those who do know the benefits of membership sites, I'd want to hear about what makes this better than the others, or at least tell me how easy it is to do the things I most want to do with it—you'll have to look at your market research to determine that.

A free trial might be a good idea. Once they get it installed and set up, many people aren't going to want to dick around setting up a competitor's solution.

I'd take off that highlighted thing that says their sites are disabled if they refund unless ClickBank requires it. and if they do, well.... I might just let the pissheads' sites keep working even if they refund. It might be one of those things where you're scaring away people who would otherwise buy and NOT refund. Risk Reversal is huge, and the way the offer reads now, the customer takes the risk, not you. that's a huge problem.

That red, blinking Buy Now Button annoys me and I want to click off the page just because it bothers me so much to have it blindingly flash like that. Unless you know that people in your market respond to that, I would use a normal orange/yellow buy button.

Get cleaning looking copy, make it flow down the page, and give me a button or image to click if I want to invest in it.

    I hope this helps!

You had me at "Noobie" on the video. I dont buy what your selling. Anyone looking to setup a membership site (I instantly think Porn lol) will be hiring a dev anyway. Why SHOULD I buy your product over just paying a dev? Maybe there is a Market for this. I dont know enough to really answer that. The overall site is very nice tho. Good work.
