I Need a Star Copywriter

Hey Guys,

I need some help, I really need to update my sales page for my time management course. For that I need a really good copywriter.

The reason I am writing here is because I don't want to be contacted by a bunch of copywriters looking to sell their services. What I would really want is to hear from someone who has hired a copywriter and can recommend them.

Could you please help me out?

  • That's probably ^ what you'll get in here. Mostly copywriters who, for obvious reasons, won't recommend another copywriter. You might want to try the main forum or the product and service reviews forum.

  • What you're looking for, particularly with a time management course, is copy that will trigger an emotional response, reads nice and smooth, and gets your prospects to buy right now with seemingly no effort on their part.

    But ...

Unless you find a really good copywriter, this will be a hard result to get.

I can figure out what's wrong with your sales page, and fix it, bringing out the needed emotional response to increase your response rates, commanding your prospects to buy from you.

I will not only do it, but I'll show you exactly how to do it.

  • It's mostly copywriter who hang out here and people who want to be copywriters. It's actually not uncommon to get a recommendation from here.

I suggest going the the directory in the sticky section. If you want someone really good, then you want to see a PROVEN track record. If all you see in a profile is "I studied this and read that"... move on. Just be prepared to pay for quality.
  • I don't know anyone who has written copy for a time management course (I haven't). If you strike out with finding a star copywriter who has written for your niche then you may need to find one who has written for a niche that has similar demographics.

Other option is to put a thread up where you tell everyone your specific needs. Daniel Scott (on post #3) gives you a great template you can use:

    Best of luck,

  • If you're going to hire a "star" copywriter, be prepared to get everything you're doing here completely deconstructed.

    Just saying.

I saw your post in the main section - looking for feedback too. And I agree with whomever said you have to drop the membership. Epic, epic miscalculation of what your market wants.

There are a bunch of awesome hooks you could use to make the time management sound sexy (because it doesn't have any PUNCH in and of itself.)

    Now, be careful.

Positioning makes all the difference in the world here.

Are you going to target IMers?

Regular people looking for more freedom?

Business owners who haven't achieved the success they know is within their reach?

All very different types of positioning...

    ...and therefore...

    ...Different copy.

    Anyway, I babble.

    Let me make it simple.

    Hire Rick Duris.

That is, IF you're looking to play a big game and make lots of money.

Of course, you'e gotta show up with a real budget.

    The question is:

How deeply do you believe in this project?

    • Sure do.

Coincidentally just wrote some copy for Discovery Communications here in Miami related to travel.

Also wrote for a group who rents cottages in Yorkshire England.

Why do you ask? Want to send me something?
